illinismitty (1419), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 25, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Aroma of light grains and leafy hops. Lighted bodied with average carbonation. Flavor pale malts, toasted grain, and lemon countered by a good spicy and grassy bitterness. Finish is dry and crisp. I don’t see why this is getting bad reviews, this is a decent pilsner.
dmtroyer (343), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Aug 20, 2008 This was one of my favorites on tap recently at Dock Street in Philly. A very deceptive brew, it poured quintessential pilsener with a golden body and white head. Flavor profile is eye-opening, ripping exotic fruit and spice with a dry hoppy finish. I’m guessing they have refined the recipe at Dock Street since this beer was entered because it is way underrated. can8ianben (608), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 19, 2008 On tap at the brewery as Royal Bohemian Pilsner. I was completely surprised by the hoppy bitterness found here. This is a pilsner you could really sink your teeth into. Lots of full body, refreshing and crisp, and nicely bitter. Color is golden, aroma of lemon and spice, flavor is sweet melon, subtle spice, and a smooth bitter finish. EithCubes (1804), Indiana, USA Jul 30, 2008 Bottled as Royal Bohemian. Honey-dipped, golden, sweetly malty nose. Noisy fizzy beige head on a yellow-golden body. Dry, lightly bitter taste, a whiff of hops with a touch of chalk, some green tea and another herbal notes. Fizzy medium body, a touch of grainy husk. Big-time disappointment. DandyWolfFloyd (231), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 Aroma is surprisingly malty, compared to most pilseners. It’s appearance is a darker golden color, with a nice white head. It’s flavor is malted more than most pilseners, but it is a good taste. It’s the slice of hop, combined with a nicely malted lager flavor. It’s smooth and it’s refreshing. A nice session. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jul 4, 2008 Draft. Pours a light golden body with a white head. Aroma/flavor is pilsner malt, some sweet malt, a bit of light fruit, and some hoppiness or the earthy kinda. eh.
