| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 14, 2008 I’m with can8ianben again on this one, just couldn’t hold up to the flight of 5 other unique and flavorful beers. Poured dark amber/red, nose was hard to come by but mostly sour malt. Flavor was also forgettable sour mash. A big disappointment from an otherwise great night. can8ianben (904), Pasadena, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Meh, Irish Ales really need to impress me to get a good rating - this one was decent, but not a beer I would order again. Pretty timid on the palate. Mostly just sweet malty flavors and thin mouthfeel. Red and malty, and not much more. I guess it fits the style, but doesn’t wow me. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Draft at Brewpub. Pours amber red with an off white head. Faint aroma of fruity ale esters. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of caramelly malts with a toasty accent, countered by a moderate, bu spicy bitterness. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Part of a sampler. I enjoyed this beer tremendously, perhaps my favorite of the bunch. Color was red, perhaps cuckoos nest red would be appropriate. Aroma of nuts, mostly brazil nuts and hazelnuts, and caramel. Taste was malty, and tasty! Enjoyed it. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2007 On tap at Dock Street - Reddish color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is dominated by caramel and bready malts with some light fruit sweetness. Flavor is caramel malty with some breadiness and a gentle hop helping. Not bad - very sessionable.
