| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Seems a bit light in color, both body and head. The smell is roasty and dark with chocolate and bittersweet chocolate. The taste is kinda light, almost like a more "flavorful brown", without having a lot of robust characteristics that we are used to seeing in American porters, and thats kinda cool. I know its a throw back brew, and given that fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it is. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Pretty standard porter - brown, roasty, slightly nutty aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet with a roasty-chocolate-nutty thing going on that is simple, yet quite tasty. This is one that should make it into regular rotation.
