On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep dark brown, nice frothy tan head. Very earthy roasted aroma of nuts and some bitter chocolate. Incredibly smooth and drinkable. Well balanced sweet molasses and bitter coffee finish. Great mouthfeel.

Apr 24, 2009 Poured a dark brown, light red color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, roast, chocolate, and nuts. Taste of roasty malts, toffee, some caramel, with nuts, and cocoa in the finish.

Feb 18, 2009 From the tap poured dark brown with a good amount of head. Nice slightly sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.

Feb 6, 2009 Pint glass on tap at the Dock Street Brew Pub. Poured a deeper brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, some roastiness, and caramel. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, lighter roast, and nutty. On the sweeter side.

Jan 24, 2009 Draft, at brewpub. Pours dark brown, with a small tan head. Mild aroma, with roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Flavor of cocoa, almond, and mild hops. Body is on the thin side. Fairly long nutty finish. Very drinkable.

Dec 16, 2008 Seems a bit light in color, both body and head. The smell is roasty and dark with chocolate and bittersweet chocolate. The taste is kinda light, almost like a more "flavorful brown", without having a lot of robust characteristics that we are used to seeing in American porters, and thats kinda cool. I know its a throw back brew, and given that fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it is.

Nov 29, 2008 Pretty standard porter - brown, roasty, slightly nutty aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet with a roasty-chocolate-nutty thing going on that is simple, yet quite tasty. This is one that should make it into regular rotation.
