Has a great malt backbone, and great flavor from hops, Amarillo? Updated, the rye comes thru more now, and this beer is about as good as it gets for an IPA, perfect balance. Thanks "dude"

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2009 pours a nice reddish brown color that is slightly hazy...thin head (maybe since its from yesterdays brew fest and pressure is low in the keg). slightly sweet aroma has some caramel and spicy hops...also a touch of citrus. flavor has definite caramel malt flavor with a very spicy dry hoppiness. rye is noticeable in the dry finish. mouthfeel is a tad watery and the finish is lingering and spicy. overall pretty good...id try it again as it might be better if it wasnt from a day old keg. Nice hop aroma with the spicy rye twist. Flavor is hoppy, spicey, well balanced. I’d love to have a few of these. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Dock Street’s Rye IPA is definitely a unique and interesting beer. As the descriptions hint at, the rye certainly adds a flavorful and spicy note. The beer pours a amber color with a big off-white head that leaves plenty of cascading lacing around the glass. The nose is full of hops, pine, earth, grass, lemon peel and a hint of rye. The flavors are very well-balanced, with notes of hops, rye, bread, a hint of caramel and earth. The finish is quite dry and a bit spicy. This beer matched perfectly with the wings I was also enjoying. A very good IPA. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Aroma is fresh citrus hops, big resiny pine, simulated dry caramel, ahhh hops. Flavor is spicey, resiny pine, sweet caramel and toast, drying finish nice. Creamy and medium to full body with active carbonation. So tasty, just what I needed for the first beer back from Ireland. vtafro (477), , New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2009 Thanks to Rciesla for sharing, bottle. IPA was not too harsh, although had some nice flavor. I would not agree with the description that it is an aggressively hopped brew. Rciesla (3830), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
