Sweet sticky taste with a nose of ripe fruit and stale flowers. Obviously very alcoholic and a nice sipper. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Snifter draft pours golden in color with a light head. Big sweet aroma with a slight bit of resin, citrus and pine. Extreme sweetness when you sip it with a nice alcohol burn. Surprisingly not a aggressively hopped so as to pull the enamel off your teeth. It is more subdued from what I remember.
Was so proud when my wife downed it in a short time in front of a bar of beer geeks. I was told by a few guys that she is a keeper. That’s my girl. dnstone (163), , New Jersey, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Smells very sweet and piney. A beautiful hazy orange/gold in color. It is initially very sweet then transitions into a piney/citrus hop kick it the tongue that lingers...so good! The abv reveals itself as it finishes with a great warming in the throat. I would have another, but I think im too drunk to walk to the fridge! Sparky27 (1583), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2009 On tap at the Draft Magazine PBS Beer Festival. Pours a hazy amber with a thin tan head. The nose is sweet citrus and caramel malt. The taste is brown sugar, rock candy, and candied citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Good, but way too sweet for me. I’m glad I got to try a sample rather than wasting a 10 spot on a bottle. skoll (127), Traverse City, Michigan, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Bottle bought in spring 2009. Great bright orange color, whitish head. Aroma of peaches, grapefruit, peat, honey, pine. Sweet, tingly flavor of citrus--name a citrus fruit, it’s in there. Pine hops give the pucker but honestly it’s not too bad. There’s an underlying alcohol base but it’s not distracting. This is hop honey syrup and it’s oh so good. beerandIT (182), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Pours a darker somewhat cloudy amber. Beautiful. Dried apricots and mangoes on the nose along with some hops and a super strong alcohol smell. On the palate I get corn syrup, hops, strong sweetness, molasses, caramel and more hops. Very sticky and very full bodied. Just an awesome beer that will only get better with time. boomer0813 (53), denton, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Bottle. About one year old. Thanks to Dempa. Cloudy orange/brown colour. Lots of sweet maltiness and alcohol, caramel, fruitiness, sugar, strong desert wine, maybe some hops somewhere there in the background. I liked it, but maybe you have to be a malthead (or boozehead).
