I expected a monster of a hop bomb and I got candied hops instead. I’m pretty much left with one question after trying this beer... Who poured 10 tsp of sugar in my beer? | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Christmas gift from the wife. Why I never rated this is beyond me...but I will now. Aroma is incredibly astringent even after sitting for 5 months. Pours a deep orange with a finger high head. Pure rubbing alcohol and way sweet. Oily syrupy mouthfeel and about the same as last time I had it. Not great. jesperhammer (290), Copenhagen, Denmark

I could sip this all night. Wouw, fantastic.
Very oily with small bubles, fills the mouth. GardenGabe (125), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Pour is dusky yellow with a whitish head. Initially smells of pine and grapefruit, as it warms a strong oder of over ripe cantaloupe. Very think and syrupy on the tongue. Taste of hops and sugar. This is so sweet it is almost undrinkable. arminjewell (102), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Pours orange/copper with white head, fairly opaque. Extremely thick on the palate, aroma gives deep hops and tart. Alcohol is definitely present in taste, not very reminiscent of an IPA, gives a strong apple/cider taste that goes down smooth but strong. A sipper and a pleasure to drink. bedainedebiere (283), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada
| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Updated: May 9, 2009I thought this would be hellish so that’s why I wanted the 90 Minute, but the owner of the Perfect Pour got this one out for my helpful but a little beer-ignorant brother; 3 x 9,99$ per bottle, what did he have to lose?... First, the beer is almost orange, very opaque with hop particules, white and green. The aroma is like strong glue (!) and caramel, very alchoolic; don’t smell it to much it might be headacheful. Once used to it, it is pleasing. The taste is refreshing (even at 21% ABV), a little tongue-tingling, a lot of grapefruit hop bitterness, obvious notes of sweetness and I would say that the taste of alchool varies with the size of the sip you take: big sip, big alchool taste, small sip... A sipper it is. In fact, it seems that each sip tastes a little different than the other. Although I wasn’t sure at first, I now think it is one of the most delicious beverage I ever had. It is incredibly powerful and tasty. As for those civilisation-threatening nuclear weapons, this is an american weapon of mass destruction... A quality one, not like a... I’ll shut up so this gets on the site... Extreme madness bomb of a beer for sure! The third one I’m having rewriting those lines is leaving me speechless... Let’s talk in numbers since it numbs me heheheh ? hehe CptGreencoat (68), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Bottle (thanks to HOPSHUNTER!) Pours to a super thick, cloudy hop syrup with a lasting, white head. Maybe it’s the fact that I can’t buy this in Ohio, but I was very highly impressed with this one. While it most certainly isn’t a session beer (I found it a challenge to champ the whole bottle,) it is truly a work of art. More of a cider or nectar than I would have thought. Nose is malt, sweet honey, alcohol and very floral hops. It’s very sugary sweet and thick on the palate. I would love to have this one again. Big ups to DFH for making such a ridiculous product.
