Bleary orange-copper with a diminutive head that doesn’t last. Woody, citrus aroma has a hint of tomcat spray. Flavor is orange wood with catspray , your grandma’s perfume, and alcohol. Light-medium body is tingly with alcohol and dry. Bleahhh!!! What a waste of money! Give me a Duff to cleanse my palate please!!! lassem (304), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Moisty and light brown body with a huge bubly head. The nose is crazy - super complex and vinoes with notes of plums, hops and burned figs. The palate is thick and overwhelming with a very sweet taste similar to a barley-wine... The finish isstrong and hard alcohol. Wondering if it was too old??? Russo (595), Campinas, Brazil
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2008 Bottled@Marty´s. AMAZING! A Cloud amber color with a nice beige head, aroma is complex, with fruit notes of apple, malt, some light alcohol. Flavor is strong, you can feel the balanced taste between the sweety and bitterness, with very smooth alcohol. Mouth feel is a little bit dry. What a beer! Zbong (38), Lansing, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Pours thick yellow. I knew this baby was gonna be strong...but wow. Kinda tastes like fermented orange juice. Its not usually a good thing when I’m struggling to get this beer down, but 21% gave me a nice buzz. A must try once but definitely not a regular thing opc (15), Ontario, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Staggering... simply staggering. This beer is one of the most intense, heavy and involved beers I’ve ever tried, and it really won me over. If you like the 90 minute IPA, this is an absolute must try. It’s like the 90 minute, but bigger and more "over the top" in all respects. I didn’t think a 21% IPA would ever work, but this really did. I have difficulty finding any fault with this beer. It is a tad sweet, but I think it needs to be considering the bitterness and high alcohol content. This definitely made my short list for must have summer beers. dogfish120love (257), west hartford, Connecticut, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 5, 2008 wow, any beer that u can feel after 1 is mighty potent. An extreme hop flavor for an extreme hop head. My only problem is that it is well over 400 calories, which is like eating a meal. MrChopin (632), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Updated: Aug 12, 2008Bright, slightly opaque amber color with a small white head. The nose is hop-heavy and quite strong: forests of pine and other vegetation, grapefruit, faint sweetness, and very remote alcohol. A mash of flavors overwhelms the senses: strong grapefruit, sugary syrup, and alcoholic heat. The palate is very thick. This reminds me of ouzo, and while interesting, it’s not a personal favorite. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours a dark amber with not much head. Big hop aroma and the alcohol is detectable. Somewhat syrupy and would be tough to have more than one. However, if you are just having one, this would be a great choice.
