Grapefruit and some floral hop aromas, in great abundance. Hi alch burn. Syrupy and sweet - hop liquer, someone said? Sure but I think there's some sweetish malt too. Hard to tell. What an experience! Thanks to BHB one last time! rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

Sweet fruity nose of apricots, oranges and even grand marnier liquor and a floral hop aromas, follow through a sweet medium-bodied palate with candied oranges, marmalade, apricot flavors, a bit liquorish, where the alcoholic warmth is ticking my nostrils leading to a light hop bitterness finish. Good lacing. Not bad. Decent bitterness, not as bitter as I was anticipating. Tastes slightly of cherry and cedar. Good sweet bitter finish. Very nice. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

Amber body under white head. Fruity aroma. An unusual, strong flavor. Good, but did not live up to expectations.

On second thought:
Had this again at a beer tasting and it was delicious. Don't know why. Definitely a good one. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

Aroma is malty and hoppy. Nice balance in the aroma. You can smell that this will have lots of residual sugars. Taste is at first sweet. Some nice malt tones mixed in and a background of hops. Certainly not like the 90 minute. I would buy a bottle of this yearly. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 14, 2008 2007 Bottle from Midtown Wine, courtesy of my lovely wife. Pours orange with a thin off white head. Nice huge grapefruity hop aroma, with some rich sweet toffee malts and alcohol in the background. This is full bodied with a slight syrupy texture. Whoa! What in the hell is this? This is merely thick sweet caramel with a shit load of grapefruit bitterness. Finish has some dry hopped leafiness, joined by alcohol. No complexity and transitions are not smooth. Sort of a hop bomb meets liquer. The only redeeming quality is that the alcohol is subdued for 21% A sipper, but not a good one. Extreme? Yes...an extreme waste of 10 bucks. pilsnerrogge (1784), Finspång, Sweden

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white micro head quickly recedes. Very different aromas -- but the alcohol pervades and tingles. Syrupy with upfront sweet caramel and a lasting alcohol finish. I did two things wrong - had an aged bottle and drank a ruination before this one...more sweet than hoppy.
