The overpowering ctirc oil hoppiness on this viscuous beer is just too much. It looks good, but once you get within a foot and get a whiff of the fermented raisin nose, you know you’re in for trouble. 20% ABV? No shit! Theis (3756), Denmark

High sweetness, vegetables, high alcoholic, vinous, nice bitterness, no fresh hoppiness. A bit simple. The body is not as sticky and powerfull as I expected. Dedollewaitor (3736), Odense, Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2006 (Draught@Oliver Twist) Clear amber color with a small, lacy head. Toffee-brandy-sugary aroma with blackcurrant leaves. Extremely malty and hoppy, sweet, berryish brandy flavor. Peppery-sticky-bitter-warming aftertaste. Alcohol is present, but easily approachable. Full-bodied, sugary-sweet, barley-wineous, ultra bitter, slightly burning, low-carbonated palate. A unique, very pleasant beer liquour! joss (3671), Garching b. München, Germany

Aroma is sweet sweet booziness. Flavor is sweet, sweet maltiness and a big hop profile, what else would you expect at 120ibu’s!!! I dunno this is not drinkable by any means, i mean really utopius clocks in higher and man is that a sipper. I put it down in 45 minutes and dam did that feel rushed. Even post 3 years on the bottle its no more drinkable then before. This is a huge beer! I even feel like im overating this. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet candy sugar, and slighty hoppy aroma. Had a very sweet initial taste, almost like candy, then the alcohol burns your throat on the way down. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Updated: Oct 27, 2008Original Rating, September 10, 2004: Uffda! Pours a dark orange color with no head. The aroma struck me as alcoholic cherries. The hops didn’t stand out nearly as much as I thought it would. In all honesty, I thought the 90 Minute tasted more of hops. This had a bit of an apple hit to it as well. 8/4/7/3/16 Re-rating, October 26, 2008: Dark orange color with a thin head. A strong, leafy aroma. Lots of tangerine and caramel malts. Big, rich, sweet malt flavor. A lot of caramel and a bit of toasted malt. Thick and creamy. Tangerine and orange hops. Definite bitterness, but I certainly stand by my prior comment of 90 Minute tasting more hoppy and bitter than 120. I think this is an IIPA with a lot more malt than should be there, if you were brewing to style. If not, then it’s just a damn delicious beer!
