| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 14, 2003 Practically overwhelming aroma of white grape, pineapple, raisin, apple, sugar, spice (and everything nice), yeast fruitiness, hops, and oh yes, definite alcohol. Gorgeous, brilliant, clear orange-amber color, with an initially creamy, moderately foamy head; however, this unsurprisingly subsided after a good hour or so in the glass. Flavor follows the aroma gratifyingly closely, syrupy, resinous, hoppy and alcoholic, with notes of pine and various citrus fruits. Fiery and expressive. Astounding. Practically defies description. Obviously, the 750 is not meant to be consumed alone, this is one for sharing with those who might appreciate it. jezmez68 (334), Chesterton, Indiana, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 24, 2007 12 oz bottle shared with 3 friends. You can smell the sweetness of the alcohol. Amber-orange in color, little to no head. Hops are very strong in initial taste, but finish cleanly, that is, your palate isn’t totally decimated by them like other IPAs. Probably should share these, since if you drank this and anything else, it would probably make you want to nap. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Honey, sweet, amazing bitter, sour, awesome, is this phenolic? something medicinal, the alcohol and sugar is taxing but it's effort rewarded by this amazing brew. jbak (110), Torrington, Connecticut, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 24, 2003 Pours a slightly cloudy amber color, medium thin head of tiny white bubbles, seems to have decent legs and good lacing though. Aroma is a piney citrusy hoppy punch in the nose. Taste is quite sweet, almost to the point of cloying, with a syrupy heavy mouth feel. The aftertaste is still quite sweet with just a touch of pineapple to offset. The sweetness masks the alcohol incredibly well. The only indication of the alcohol is the warm burn down the throat after the fact. Not really a hophead delight either, way too sweet, hops only really noticeable in the aroma. Contrary to EKGoldings, you can drink this bottle in one sitting, but that is the operative word, 'sitting', don't try to stand or walk!! Padron4KM (403), Chandler, Arizona, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 1, 2009 2008 vintage. 12 oz bottle.
Pours cloudy orange with a nice two finger, slow to disapate, creamy tan head.
Aroma is ruby red grapefruit crushed with lots of pure cane sugar. It literaly smells like you took a 5 lb bag of grapefruit, placed it on a 20 lb bag of sugar and stomped the hell out of it. One whif and you can tell this beer is well rounded.
Flavor starts out a bit sweet, almost sugary, but is tempered by the caramel, and the well defined grapefruity hops.
Slick, begining mouthfeel almost detects high abv, but by the way it goes down you would never know. more please scraff (1954), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

This beer is Imperial IPA like none other! Awesome stuff from the bottle. Read HS's review below. We pretty much agreed on everything this beer had to offer. For those who like this style, you have to find yourself a bottle soon. Don't miss out! Sam...is there a 240 in the works? Bring it. cathcacr (590), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 9, 2008 This is very sweet, sticky, syrupy and massively hopped beyond all reasonableness. It may work for you, it may not. The alcohol is in there, but mixed up with all the rest to be amazingly well-masked, all things considered. I think I may like this more than the objective numerical indicators say.
