Aroma is heavily aged, like a 20yr old thomas hardy, but theres some hops trying there best to balance and give a perfect harmony of sweetness, sherry and yee haa high 5ness. Taste is like sitting at the top of that hill you like in the sun with the breeze blowing blowing perfectly so you dont over heat on the grass which is the perfect length and your finest lass holding your hand. This kisses your neck when it should, makes you feel tingly. I mean what does this not have, its the best beer iv had this year, this decade, this beat rochefort, this beat belle-vue selection lambic, this cannot be beaten. RERATE : Same score. The best aged beer/barley wine/big bold bastard of a thing to have ever been made. Nejhleader (930), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA

What is this taste im tasting im not sure it certanly can not be hops? and if it is that is amazing this is the most insane beer I have ever had it has such a strong aroma it almost is painfull to smell but then again I could smell it for hours. This IIPA is completly an unballanced beer that hits you in the mouth so hard you would swear you have been smacked by a 100 pound sack of hops. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Nose is nothing but clean, citrusy hops. Loads of grapefruit, pine and crisp florals with a touch of sweet malt and caramel. The only drawback is ironicly what seperates this from ofther DIPA’s, the ridiculous alcohol content. At times it is just too overwhelming taking away most of the experience on the tongue. Still, an unbelievable brew and a must try. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jun 3, 2008 This beer is the King of hop beers. The aroma, appearance and flavor was the best I’ve ever experienced, in the hop catagory. The only reason I gave the Palate a 4 is because my palate was obviously completely overwhelmed, which is to be expected, never the less, I love this great strong ale. bedainedebiere (288), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada

First, the beer is almost orange, very opaque with hop particules, white and green. The aroma is like strong glue (!) and caramel, very alchoolic; don’t smell it to much it might be headacheful. Once used to it, it is pleasing. The taste is refreshing (even at 21% ABV), a little tongue-tingling, a lot of grapefruit hop bitterness, obvious notes of sweetness and I would say that the taste of alchool varies with the size of the sip you take: big sip, big alchool taste, small sip... A sipper it is. In fact, it seems that each sip tastes a little different than the other. Although I wasn’t sure at first, I now think it is one of the most delicious beverage I ever had. It is incredibly powerful and tasty. As for those civilisation-threatening nuclear weapons, this is an american weapon of mass destruction... A quality one, not like a... I’ll shut up so this gets on the site... Extreme madness bomb of a beer for sure! The third one I’m having rewriting those lines is leaving me speechless... Let’s talk in numbers since it numbs me heheheh ? hehe ajwilliams (118), , Indiana, USA
| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Ruby orange pour. Beautiful beer. The aroma is citrus, hops (duh), caramel, fresh flowers, lots of other notes. Flavor is unbelievably balanced for all the hops. Very sweet, but not it the too-much-alcohol kind of way, and also creamy. I am surprised by this one. I have been letting it sit in my fridge for a few weeks because I was afraid of it, but it is actually really tasty. I bought it for the novelty, but I will pay that 7 bucks again for the greatness of this brew. Does it age? I will find out.
