Clear copper brown, not much head. Bready, hoppy, bitter aroma. Very portwineous mouthfeel; carbonation, syrapy, bready, sweet. Long hoppy bitter aftertaste, but in the taste hops are overrun by sugar and alcohol. Nice, complex beer to sip. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark

Extremly nice aromas; liqourice, Digestive. Superfresh hopnose, green, complex and very well layered.. The flavour itself is great; walnuts in syrup, canesugars, dried abricots. In the finish, the alcohol just keeps up with the sweetness anf the roasted taste of pines. Guess it´s only flaw is the demand to be served ICEcold. davidflores99 (225), Long Beach, California, USA

Kinda expensive per bottle but worth it! hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 29, 2009 I was not really prepared for this beer and because the ABV is not printed on the bottle I had no idea how powerful this one was. I poured a cloudy orange color with a moderate head and sticky lacing. The nose was so intense in made my eyes water, and smelled more like cognac than beer. In addition to the alcohol there are huge aromas of citrus, pine, and flowers in the hops. This is simply a hop monster. The mouthfeel is more like cognac than beer as well, but it remarkably smooth and full bodied for something so powerful. The flavor demands this be sipped, and that is fine because it is fun to drink. The finish is alcohol of course with some sweetness ,but it actually finishes dry. This is a beer like no other I have ever seen, and it was not until I came to review it I realized it was 21% ABV. Not something you would drink every day, but one worth repeating for a special occasion. HopsformyHips (113), Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Let’s start with the first impression...
A small head tops this golden orange pour...Great citrusy hops evolve from the tiny head...then a floral hoppy aroma tags behind...and the final wave of the complex aroma is the smooth malt that tries to real in the wild hops...
...my tounge was then met with this very sweet yet spicy concoction of montounaous monstrous malts and humungus herculean hops...
these two amazing strengths of flavors balance each other, but to an awfully intense level...
the high alcohol content is very well masked
Palate has a creamy a very good mouthfeel...This certainly is not for the faint of heart...I like strong flavors and lots going on in the aroma and taste so this one went over fairly well with me....still I would choose their 90 min IPA over this one. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

Poured a dark amber with a huge, thick, creamy white head and sticky lacing.
Clean, crisp aroma of pine and citrus.
WOW! big flavor of ripe fruits, overly sweet malts. Alcohol is not overpowering but warms you up fast.
One is enough. jefcon (1000), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Draft. Overpowering aromas of leather, cherry, apricot, sherry and piney hops, hops, hops. Medium amber in the glass with tons of lacing. Kind of a sticky mouthfeel with layered flavors of the pine/apricot of heavy hopping, sweet caramel, and a sherry-like, vinuous finish. Not too sweet, however the sugars balance out the bitterness and and round out the alcohol of the beer. This is a fantastic, smooth-bodied display of hops. I enjoyed the beer quite a lot. eve (240), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 6, 2005 I probably shouldn’t have started the night with this one, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Rich bronze, floral aroma, extreme but engaging balance of sweet and bitter, like bowling balls on both far ends of a seesaw, it could have all gone wrong so easily but it works.
