The fact that they can hide the alcohol is amazing. The taste of the beer is very nice. A nice dry hop taste. Absolutely amazing. I could drink this all the time, and the extra bonus to this is that you would only need one beer. More than one would ruin the experience. If you want to sit around with some friends and sip for a while, this is the beer to get. Wow! This is real beer.
Overall, the Dogfish Head portfolio is very good. pdiddy (22), San Marcos, Texas, USA

Taste is extreme and bitter- not for the faint of hop! If i had another 10 bucks i would pick up another. Sheer triumph of mankind! ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA

A nice coppery orange color with a thin off white lasting head. Off the bat I was expecting quite a bit from this beer based on its reputation, and its price. There are aromas of caramel, orange, grapefruit, baked apple, floral, with other undefinable sweetness, and even a slight hint of cilantro. The flavor is strongly citric, with tangerine and grapefruit notes, along with strong caramelized flavors of butterscotch and almond. The finish on this beer is exceptionally long, leaving the flavor and feeling of a fresh sip on the palate for a good 10-15 minutes. Its remarkable how balanced the beer is considering how heavily hopped it was, but then again to reach 21%abv there would have to be an equally impressive malt addition. I enjoy the aroma, and mouthfeel of this beer, and have never experienced the same in any other beer.
A hybrid Ale, Wine, and after dinner liquor. Magical and hoppy. Oh yeah, and 20% abv. gkao007 (28), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA

If there is an element of flaw, it would be that its too damn sweet. I understand it’s super high in alcohol, but the sweetness makes it very difficult to pair with light vibrant dishes. Luckily the fall and winter seasons are just coming along. corrupter (1), Pittsburgh, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 12, 2009 The flavor and smell of this beer is just amazing! Has a different flavor than any ipa I have had. The hops are definately there but the bitterness usually associated with hops is absent PolakPorter (83), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 7, 2009 I recently had my second 120 Minute. My first may have been consumed before my taste buds were ready for such a monster. This time around, I was ready to kick some ass. The wonderfully refreshing aroma is worthy of being an air freshener. The taste is a delicious infusion of sweet grapefruits, apricots, honey, melon, Gran Marnier, caramel, St. Germain, robust port, and I swear there’s just a hint of fresh, young pussy. It’s amazing how well the hops counteract the aggressive malt. Leave the beer bong alone for this badboy. Take your time and enjoy. My most recent 120 was consumed while watching Neil Young bust out an epic Cortez the Killer. Well worth the pain in the ass of sneaking it in. In the end, my 120 Minute only lasted about 20 minutes. Slightly disappointing. This is without question the best beer to sneak into a concert/sporting event/any venue that charges $7 for a Bud Light. This also means it is in the running for ’best beer ever.’ Thank you Dogfish Head for being crazy enough to concoct this little slice of heaven.
