I recently had my second 120 Minute. My first may have been consumed before my taste buds were ready for such a monster. This time around, I was ready to kick some ass. The wonderfully refreshing aroma is worthy of being an air freshener. The taste is a delicious infusion of sweet grapefruits, apricots, honey, melon, Gran Marnier, caramel, St. Germain, robust port, and I swear there’s just a hint of fresh, young pussy. It’s amazing how well the hops counteract the aggressive malt. Leave the beer bong alone for this badboy. Take your time and enjoy. My most recent 120 was consumed while watching Neil Young bust out an epic Cortez the Killer. Well worth the pain in the ass of sneaking it in. In the end, my 120 Minute only lasted about 20 minutes. Slightly disappointing. This is without question the best beer to sneak into a concert/sporting event/any venue that charges $7 for a Bud Light. This also means it is in the running for ’best beer ever.’ Thank you Dogfish Head for being crazy enough to concoct this little slice of heaven.

From bottle... poured really nice cloudy orange with sizable white head. Typical but stronger aroma, but it added strong alcohol too. Flavor was overpowered by alcohol which was just too much for me to enjoy the beer. Also, creamier and less bitter than I liked. I was disappointed because everyone I know claims to love this beer. I might try this again some other time, but based on my first experience, this is a beer I just can’t love.

Bottle. Pours an orangish color and cloudy with a medium head that disappears quickly. Lacing is excellent. Aromas of citrus, wine, and a bit of grapefruit. Creamy start, oily in the mouth, and sticky finish. LIvely carbonation but surprisingly smooth for such a powerful beer. Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, with a very nice aftertaste of port. Almost the perfect taste for a beer!

Cloudy appearance. Extreme citrus on the nose but also medicinal alcohol and esters. Taste like aroma but also overly sweet.

2008 vintage. 12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a nice two finger, slow to disapate, creamy tan head. Aroma is ruby red grapefruit crushed with lots of pure cane sugar. It literaly smells like you took a 5 lb bag of grapefruit, placed it on a 20 lb bag of sugar and stomped the hell out of it. One whif and you can tell this beer is well rounded. Flavor starts out a bit sweet, almost sugary, but is tempered by the caramel, and the well defined grapefruity hops. Slick, begining mouthfeel almost detects high abv, but by the way it goes down you would never know. more please
