Commercial Description:
Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45°P, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continually hopped with high alpha American hops, dry-hopped every day in the fermenter for a month, and aged for a month on whole leaf hops, 120 Minute IPA is by far the strongest IPA ever brewed. And at 21% ABV and 120 IBU’s, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads. Editors note: ABV reduced down to 18% in 2009.

I found it awesomely delicious. Well worth the $10 I paid for each bottle. I had my dad try it but he found it a bit much for him so lucky me...I got both!

I’ve looked for this beer at the stores around me for the better part of two years now, and last night I walked into a bar with some friends and saw it listed on the beer list. A bit expensive but I bought it anyways. Smells big on the hops. Mouthfeel is thick, and almost syrupy. Taste is very hoppy as expected, with a citrusy sweet flavor too.

Keg was tapped today at my local haunt. Just the right complement of low sweetness and bitterness masked the taste of alcohol. Light/Medium body.

Dark yellow-orange beer with a thin off-white head. Strong alcohol aroma with a lot of sweetness. Very sweet flavor to match, with alcohol beating you back down, overpowering a lot of the very present hop character. Burning. Yet, interesting, and delicious at the same time.

Some of us split a case, and I ended up with a 3 pack. Very good, and very unique. This case had over a year on it, and the hops had mellowed. They wern’t bitter anymore, it was more of a citrus cider like flavor. The mouth feel was very very thick, and of course, one bottle packs a whollop. Excellent beer that I wouldn’t mind having another 6 pack of.

Pours thick golden, aromas of peach and alcohol, flavor is sweet liqueur of barley and mixed American hops, finishes hot and sweet. No hop aroma, slight flavor of hops, little bitterness to speak of. Clean fermentation, tangy, no climax in finish. Over rated, and not that hoppy for all the hype. If you want a double IPA, choose something else. $12.00/12oz what the Fu#@K!

i had a lot of anticipation leading up to drinking this beer. i had wanted it for well over a year, and finally my cousin brought a bottle to share with a few people. The bottle was aged for just over a year (and still at 21% ABV) and it did not disappoint. Nice cloudy golden pour with a bright white head and a nice hoppy nose. im told the hops are overwhelming up front on a fresh bottle, but this bottle was dominated by a malty sweetness and a great mouthfeel that was slightly thick. one of the greatest beers i have had.

12 oz bottle. Cellared for about 9 months. Almost clear orange brown with a creamy-frothy beige head. Thick strands of lace. Brown sugar, dough and funky orange. Dusty alcohol underneath. As expected rich and malty with warming sips. Very much to DIPAs what World Wide is to imperial stouts. Starts with cherry and mandarins. Still enough hops around to keep from cloying. Dries lightly with orange peel and slight bitterness. Dangerous candy.
