Well its good, but it doesnt even touch the 90 for me. Too bitter and not quite what i would expect from the DFH. I would think it would be woodier and a tad maltier, but still it is certainly one I wouldnt turn down if given to me! paytoplay (134), , California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Enjoyed this from bottle and tap with consistant notes. Great hop funk, flavors of the it’s close hop cousin ;) that is sometimes associated with hopped beers. Below the 90 in quality for me but enjoyable. wmubronco1992 (185), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Bottle - Pours a light amber. Big rich white head. Good lacing. Somewhat lacking hoppy aroma. Grassy/Citrusy flavor. Kind of disappointing mouthfeel. Not as intense as I expected based on reputation. Dry finish. Overall not as hoppy as expected. Seems like an IPA for beginners. I’m hoping that the 90 minute can provide a more intense experience. hogan873 (334), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2008 I have to quit saying that I’m not a fan of IPA’s. I’ve tried a few recently and found them to be good. This one is no exception. Clear amber body with a thin white head that leaves some decent lacing. Nice hoppy aroma with citrus and even a little sweetness noticeable. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. The flavor mirrors the aroma. Floral hops and citrus up front with a touch of sweet fruit at the end. A bit of a bitter aftertaste. A very good IPA. joebudzjoe (229), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Tastes much like the more superior 90 minute IPA, but just a little lighter. Strong hops with slight cherry undertone. Pretty darn good. eli723 (10), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Very good IPA. Almost completely crisp. Great hop flavors and aromas. Could drink plenty of this one. NIce work. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a clear, amber body topped by a medium, off-white head which mostly diminished to a light dusting of foam. Light effervescence played around in the glass for some time. Nice hops characteristic with some grapefruit notes to the nose. This is a medium bodied, moderately carbonated IPA with a medium mouthfeel punctuated by the typical hops bitterness. Overall profile is well balanced, favoring the dry, bitter hops, rounded out by slight malting. Hops aftertaste is minimal, favoring instead to show up in the oft-welcomed "hopurps." This is a fine, easy drinking IPA well worth your time and money. RedSox2004 (356), Pacific Palisades, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Generous head, golden color with great lacing. Pale malt underneath the citrsuy hops aromas. Taste is less intense than the 90 Minute, yet still generously hoppy with a well-balanced malt offset. In the background are lemon and orange, and slight pine and pepper flavors. Lots of carbonation, crisp with a dry aftertaste that is dominated by the hops. Dogfish is great - wish they were on the West Coast.
