Draft and bottle. Golden color, filmy white head. Somewhat citrus-hoppy aroma with caramel-malty backbone. Moderate, grassy bitterness with sweetish, juicy, honey-malt-like center. Bitter aftertaste, but quenching. Still a great all-around IPA.

Bottle. I love this beer. Lives up to the billing as a cask beer in a bottle. A clear golden color. Hoppy, but slightly grassy aroma. Flavor is not as hoppy as some IPAs. Has a nice long finish. I look forward to trying the 90 minute and 120 minute versions.

Poured a clear golden amber color with nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a nice foamy head that went down to about 1/2" fairly quickly, but it left a decent amount of lacing. There was a strong hoppy aroma with a citrus/grapefruit scent. There was a nice initial hop bite with a hint of grapefruit. The flavor rolled into a nice bitter finish that lasted well on the palate. This beer went well with spicy sushi. Great beer!!

(Sample from July 18, 2008 Beer Club Meeting, on tap at the Austin Flying Saucer on October 24, 2009.) Light orange-amber color with frothy head… aroma of caramel and smells much like pine. Like a Christmas tree, really! Very hoppy, too. Flavor is lightly sweet, hoppy. I can feel the Hops going up my nose… but ever so gently. Easier going down than the 90 or 120. A good, stable brew! I tasted this again and discovered it tastes exactly like vanilla ice cream. Creamy, smooth, lively finish!

Bottle. Very pleasing IPA. Uniformly good in aroma, appearance and flavor. Intensely citrusy, mainly grapefruit. Moderate head. Great from start to finish. Absolutely a favorite. Grievously and outrageously underrated on this site.

Bottle pours clear golden with little to no head. Aroma is some pine and sweet citrus hops. First taste is sweet followed by pine hops flavor. A slight hops burn follows but it does not linger.

12 oz. bottle into shaker. Nice honey amberish brown pour with a descent slightly off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit hops; sweet juicy and refreshing. Flavor throws me off a bit though - not what the aroma might suggest. It was sweet and a bit funky (musty) with mostly a strange and unbalanced malt hop presence. Not very bitter. Medium bodied on the palate with soft carbonation. Overall: pretty good, but might as well go for the 90, even though it costs a bit more.

An awesome IPA, pours a golden tan with a thick white head. Tastes very hoppy with pine and citrus hints, has a little malty flavor in the after taste. A great everyday beer for a hophead.
