Tap. Pour is light hazy orange with large white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hop with a mild malt backbone and hints of bread. Flavor is very crisp and clean hop flavor up front. Really tasty and refreshing. Finish is a little yeasty and a little sweet. Great stuff and very easy to drink.

Bottle. Relatively pale. Woodsy, piney floral aroma. Lemony on the tongue, with a pronounced malt balance. Always interesting to come back to this one after trying a number of other IPAs. Subtly complex. While it may be relatively straightforward, I think that’s almost refreshing as so many brewers (including DFH) seem to be trying to knock our socks off with every beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room - pours a hazy copper colour with a white head. Lots of hops in aroma and flavour with rich malts and a little sweetness. An excellent IPA.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Slightly hazy copper color with a light meringue like, white head. Great head retention and good lacing too. Aroma: Big pine and earthy hop nose. Citrus notes help round things out. Smells like dry hopping to me. Definitely a nose you expect from a good IPA. Flavor: Citrus hops dominate followed by earthy and pine notes. Rich malt notes help lend a little honey sweetness, but it is quickly subdued by all of the hop bitterness. Great flavor. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel and a long, bitter finish. A nice rounded mouthfeel. Overall: A great IPA that everyone should try. The body is a little heavy so I could only session a few of these.

Bottle from the Kroger on Lamar. Poured a medium orange with an off with head. Weak fruity aroma with a little hops on it. Wanted more of a full flavor, but it was a good, dry, hoppy taste.
