PJClarke (609), London, Greater London, England Nov 8, 2009 @ The White Horse:
A caramel orange beer with appetising, clingy beige head.
Orange and clementine hops, back up by a slight fudgey sweetness.
Rich bitterness, light fruit and sweet tickles. This ticks all the boxes and finishes with good length and heavy booze.
Controlled expertly in both flavour and texture. savnac (393), Palmer, Alaska, USA Nov 3, 2009 On tap @ Dogfish Alehouse Falls Church. Clear amber with a small off white head. Typical Pac NW hop aromas of citrus, pine and also a sweet bubblegum scent. Sweet malt base with average bitterness. Medium body with a mild carbonation and a dry hop mouth feel. Nice IPA with loads of hop flavors and aromas without a ton of bitterness. DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Nov 2, 2009 Updated: Nov 4, 2009On draught at Yard House (West Palm, FL): The only thing I’d change about this beer is to take out the 60 Minute blend and add more 90 Minutes... and then even more hops. Pours a crisp and clear, light golden orange brown, pillowy white, thin head. Nose is of hops bitterness, maple and caramel. Flavor is similar, but with added complexity- florals, sweet malts, pin needles dipped in juniper berries, and grapefruit pith. Drinkability: 75’s pleasant, but unfortunately what you get is not better than the sum of it’s parts. Rebuy: Yes. #182 on 02112009, DG. grawk (11), Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 16, 2009 My favorite all time IPA, the Alehouse 75 is a 50/50 blend of Dogfish Head 60 minute and 90 minute IPAs, and is a very nice pour. Any time I’m at the alehouse with friends, I recommend it. eaglefan538 (2351), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Aug 20, 2009 On cask at the brewpub in Rehoboth. Pour was amber colored with a generous huge white colored head that gave great lacing all the way down. The thing on cask was beautiful. Aroma of rich citrus and grapefruit. The flavor followed, but was much lighter in body than the 90 and much more drinkable. A very fine IPA but a tad on the sweet side. I could have used a bit more of a roughing up from more bitter hops! mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA Aug 13, 2009 Draft pours a slightly hazy golden color with a creamy thick head. That head lasts and lasts. Aroma of sweet fruits, pine and citrus. A bit of earthiness in there too. Nice bittereness followed by a nice sweet fruitiness. The bitterness matched the aroma. The mouthfeel was amazing. So smooth but nicely bittered. What a nice beer and I am not one to toot the horn of DFH, but well done. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2009 Cask from the brew pub. Color was an orange redish color with a small head. Aroma is of citrus hops and some oak. Taste was quite nice but the alcohol stood out alot. Very warming and tasty. matty (1), Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 8, 2009 Cask from the Rehoboth Beach brewpub on July 23. Orange/yellow color, nice citrus aroma. Very smooth/thick mouthfeel due to cask. Good lacing on the glass. Great balance of malt and hops. Tastes more like the 90 rather than the 60 but doesn’t quite pack the same punch of alcohol. Would like to get back to have some more. Very drinkable, but not too many! Great name and even better sign.
