Jul 12, 2009 Cask at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 3rd July 09. Great name, good beer. Hazy amber with a persistent white head. Sublimely smooth with a creamy palate. Wonderful maple syrup notes on the tongue. Nice hoppy aroma, good flavour, extremely drinkable.

Jul 11, 2009 Cask at American beer fest White Horse, London. Orangey brown pour with small white head. Hoppy, malty, citrus aroma. Very easy to drink, citrus, hops, pine, maple. Very nice ale indeed. Dogfish Head are one of my favourite US brewers.

Jul 7, 2009 A Mes rate: cask handpull at the Sloany Pony.
Johnny cask, what a great name! Light orange brown and just about holding onto a thin white film. Excellent aroma. Fruity as hell with some really good U.S. hoppage as you would expect but the slight caramel and maple adds intrest and complexity. Possibly a little less excitement in the mouth but that could quite possibly be down to the conditioning at the Pony, plus cask beers tend not to travel the Atlantic too well. All that is great about the aroma is here but it doesn’t sit quite so well. A little hot and slightly astringent but an enjoyable experience. To sum it up, good stuff but the some is not greater than its parts.

Jul 6, 2009 On tap at DFH Alehouse, Falls Church. This was a rich, full-bodied & creamy bear. Beautiful head, champagne bubbles drifing up. The beer takes on all the best characteristics of the 90 minute, but the drinkability of the 60 minute (another "dangerously drinkable", with high ABV). Strongly lemon-peel hoppy clean aftertaste, with the glorious scent of fresh hay & sweet hops. Fantastic.

Jul 3, 2009 Cask at the pub in Rehoboth. Lovely stuff. Perfect soft cask mouthfeel, perfect serving temp, and overall perfectly quenching and satisfying after an afternoon of hauling kids around Rehoboth. A very different, and much better, animal then the blended 75 that is available at the DFH restaurants in the DC area.

Jul 1, 2009 Cask @ Barcade. Dark pour. This has a real nice floral hoppy flavor and aroma. Definitely my favorite ipa from DFH.

Jul 1, 2009 Cask at Barcade. Pours a mahogany body with an off white head. Citrus, pine and grass hop character with a dry vinous woodiness. Very floral hop notes, nice brew.

Jun 23, 2009 On tap at the brewpub in Rehobeth. Poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with a big white head. Aroma was citrus hops, some breadiness, some sweet malt. Flavor was very nice and citrusy with a good malt balance. This was a tasty IPA. Would not hesitate to order again.
