My only real complaint of this is that it smells a little sweet when its first opened. It does however dissipate in time, and not alot of time either, happily. This is one hoppy beer! And damn tasty too.

It poured a hazy dark golden liquid with a small foam with big bubbles. It had a strong smell of caramell, hops, citrus and grape. It had a very round and smooth mouthfeel. Lots of hops, high bitterness and some citrus, caramell and grape. Very nice!

Bottle that I picked up from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 19-09-09 Pours amber with a slight chill haze and a white head sits atop. There is a fresh hoppy aroma with a touch of honey but I somehow feel that the aroma has been blunted a tad by the chilling of this beer. Tasty hoppy beer with wonderful bittersweet balance. The bitterness is really quite lovely. I’ve had this on a number of occasions before but have never got around to rating it until now, a classy beer A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov17 4.0

bottle - (asheft) amber orange beer with a thin white head. Aroma is full with citrusy hops. Flavou has malty sweetness well balanced with a nice hops bitterness. Mouthfeel like oil. Alcohol is detectable.

Pours dark copper, lots of carbonation and very little head, just some off white froth. Aroma is strong hops and alcohol that I can get from half way accross the room, also some citrus fruit and sweetness. Taste is initially sweet, cakey and fruity, cherries and almonds, some citrus, and then a pleasant - but quite mild - bitter citrus finish. The bitterness becomes more prominant and malty as it warms up. Nice background malt and honey sweetness throughout. Enjoyable viscous texture. Lovely.

14-SEP-2009 @Ølbaren. Have been looking for this for some time after having had the 60 and 120 min. And surprise, not a lot on the nose. Very shy, some orange but overall way to subdued. Where is the bitterness? This is an IIPA, right? Like wine is it just a matter of balance? If so I can aggree with the hype. Orange with low head. Beautifull colour. Citrus nose, lacks some in complexity. Very nice bitteness, but far from what I expect in an IIPA. Very sweet with loads of dried fruit. Wonderfull balance, wonderfull creaminess and mouthfeel. Nothing extreme about this one, and maybe that is the greatness? Oh, and where is the alcohol? Maybe I had to many (strong) beers tonight to rate it properly? Will have to rebuy some time. I don’t really know what to think of it? Very fine beer, could drink tons of it.

I need to try this again. Had it a long time ago and hated it. Needs another try.
