Swalden_28 (640), McKinney, Texas, USA Mar 31, 2008 Im not a huge IPA fan (yet) but this was a great brew.....Poured a deep gold color and you can even see the body in this. Aroma was sweet and full of citrus notes, very pleasing...Flavor was sweet malt with terrific fruity overtones with a very well balanced strong bitterness.....with a nice alcohole kick that is note too overpowering....Great mouthfeel! Kinda medium carbonation with a soft pallate then it kicks in when swallowed....Great beer...
DandyWolfFloyd (254), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 Hops are bursting forth with plenty of resinous oil and more pine than citrus. The appearance is a medium copper off white head, with great initial head retention. Great silk stockings down the glass. It’s flavor is full of pine, some citrus, some alcohol, w/ a taste that reminds you of the way nail polish smells very sharp. It’s smacks of alcohol, not at all a session, very potent, and to be honest I felt like it was less balanced than the 120 or the 60 minute brews. Edgekrusher (58), , Alabama, USA Oct 8, 2008 Pours orange in color with a solid head . Hops dominate the aroma. Plenty of hops to share in this bad boy. The alcohol is barely noticeable until you finish a couple and stand up. tarheels86 (39), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2008 I was a little disappointed in this. Pours a light golden color with a big fluffy, white head. Aroma is citrus, hops, and caramel. Body is actually not very bitter at all- very creamy, sweet, and smooth. The alcohol here really dominates over the hops. Very oily on the palate as well. I really prefer the 60 Min IPA to this. As for imperial IPAs, I would stick to Stone Ruination. This is too expensive and the extra gravity and alcohol really takes away from what I believe is a perfect beer in the 60 Min IPA. 120 Min....now that is just insane.
armando629 (434), Budapest, Hungary Oct 7, 2008 I’ve bought it in Amsterdam, Cracked Kettle. Nice amber-copper color with a lacing creamy head. Caramel, some roasted perfume and hop resin in the rich nose. Oily texture, smooth and balanced mouthfeel with a fantastic hop flavor, caramel malt and citrus tastes. The aftertaste is nice and hopfull and complex too. Delicious, fine, exciting! Please give me more beers like that! heynik1885 (28), tonawanda, New York, USA Oct 5, 2008 Awesome light golden copper color, with a big fluffly off white head that seems to never go away. lots of lacing on glass. Nice earthy smell, bit of carmel and alot of hops. Nice bitter taste of hops and citrus with a raisiney finish.
