whoa! dogfish head = bang! this was a big beer that certainly didn’t disapoint.... huge on flavour that reminded you with every sip that it was a serious beer! fantastic flavours and hop cahracter.

Tasty and delicious! Pours a gorgeous coppery-orange with an ample white head. Hops come out clearly in this, but the malt is what makes this a great beer. I’d love to pair this with some food - I’m particularly thinking roasted meat with cheddar or blue cheese... Alcohol is well hidden and could really sneak up on you.

solid backbone of crml-malts with tons of hops dancin’ all over their face.
hops are thick and oily but not quite overwhelming.

too IPAish for me the first time i had it, too much oily hop flavor or something like that. but now i love it, and it’s one of the only beers that i enjoy drinking out of the bottle because it changes the flavor in a way i don’t mind or maybe even like.

12 oz bottle. The balance of this beer has always really stood out to me. It really is perfect in that aspect. As far as the aroma goes, it really is more mild than you would expect from a hop bomb. Non-hop notes on the aroma include a light oaky bourbon, nutty caramel, apple pie, and other mild fruits. Also some earth, mixed citrus, and light resin on the hop side of things. Lighter white head on the pour, minor lacing and retention, medium opacity, and dark orange in color. Again, balance is fantastic in the taste, and a nice feel as well with a light crisp bite throughout. A lot of mild wood and fruits here, apples and apricots, along with some earthy pine, bitter citrus, minor bourbon, and mixed grain cereal. The finish is very evened out for dipa. Everything here works very well together. This is a very nice beer overall.

First IPA I really enjoyed. Enjoyed the hopped pine flavor that did not finish as bitter as most. Slightly sweet, but par for the style. First choice among IPA’s.

One of my favorite, go to DIPAs, that I have enjoyed many times, but just recently found that I failed to review. So, I bellied up to the bar at The House Pub in St. Charles, IL., and ordered a 12oz. bottle. Poured to a large snifter, the color was a deep, orangy amber with a white, bubbly foam head, and spots and ribbons of clingy lacing. The aroma was an intense combination of fruit sweetness and bright, sharp citrus. The flavor followed these with a potent hop bitterness that was balanced nicely by rich malt sweetness, and warming alcohol. As solid as they come, and now it’s finally recorded.
