Jun 4, 2008 Pours and orange - amber color with a good amout of head. the smell is of a really good apricot smell and slight hops. It is fruity on the front and finishes on a little hoppy side. not much after taste other than alittle fruit. pretty good brew i think...

Jun 3, 2008 Pours an orange, coppery color with a decent sized head. For a fruit beer this is really a treat, begins a little fruity but not overwhelmingly so. The hops kick in mid-palate and it finishes cleanly with both hops and apricot. One of the better Dogfish offerings I’ve had recently.

Jun 2, 2008 This is one of the first craft beers I came to like. Nice fruity aroma with a hoppy finish. Not too much I can say avout this beer except that it’s good!

Jun 1, 2008 Pours a nice, clear copper colour with small white head. Was somewhat skeptical how the apricot and hops would mesh but this turned out just fine as they were both well balanced, and the fruity apricot made the beer very refreshing on a hot evening, adding a subtle touch of sweetness to an ipa. Looking forward to trying this again.

May 29, 2008 The apricot is very well balanced. It doesn’t hit you over the head like their festina peche does.
Pours golden/bronze in color.
nice subdued hop level.

May 28, 2008 Updated: Apr 17, 2009On tap. Aroma showcases tart apricots on a sweet malt base with citrusy (and maybe floral?) hop notes nicely complimenting the tartness, but taking a back seat for an IPA-based beer. Flavor pretty sweet (but far from cloying) with the apricot and malt meshing, some tartness sticks around, and the hops act as they did in the aroma. Small-bubble carbonation reminiscent of Belgians. Quite very drinkable and balanced, especially for a beer that exhibits such sweetness in the flavor. Very refreshing, but probably needs to be consumed fresh, fresh, fresh! 8-4-7-5-15/3.9
Rerate 4/16/09. Bottle. Aroma of biscotti and generally toasted malt, sugary sort of apricot. Very odd. Flavor is quite muddled, with nothing really coming through except some dry apricot. Oddly heavy in the mouth. Not much good to be found this time around. 5-4-5-3-11/2.8

May 27, 2008 Bronze colored with small white head. Scent is strong apricot and citrus. Sweet flavor with some nice balance from hop contribution. Refreshing beer, but DFH has done better.
