Pours a light amber color. It as a light white thin head. The nose is light apricots, fruity hops and sweet hops. The beer taste like a sweet ipa with a fruity finish. It had a watery mouth feel.

Bottle. Amber pour, visible carbonation. Aroma is citrus hops, floral hops, and some apricot. Flavor is mostly like a normal citrusy IPA, but with a nice sweet apricot complement. The apricot flavor is subtle, which is good in my mind. Enjoyable beer.

Interesting. Pours amber gold with a fizzy medium head. Aroma is apricot jam and hops. Flavor is good, with much less apricot than expected from the aroma. Good hoppiness, but not quite as good as other DFH IPA’s. Like I said at the beginning, interesting.

Very nice if you’re in the mood for apricot. Not an overpowering fruit dominance. Hops are very present (as would be expected from the name), but malt is also surprisingly featured, and in a good way. Apricot is definitely there on the nose, but less so on the palate. Some floral notes, too. Well-balanced beer. One of my wife’s favorites, and I find myself stealing sips from her often...

DFH’s most dissapointing beer. Pours an amber color with a small to medium sized fluffy off white head. Nose is bitter and a tap hoppy with some fruit and sugar. I am strechting this nose because it is really weak. Taste is hoppy sweet and barely tastes like fruit. wEAK!

I like this much better than the 2006 and 2007. It’s a little drier, with a more intense fruit nose. It’s nearly perfect, and my ideal fruit beer. A great acidic tang on the first taste. Nice even finish and a long linger on the palate. Not too bitter, and as in previous years, the fruit is in the nose. Love it.

I’m a bit disappointed with this one. I was expecting a nice IPA with a touch of fruit added. Instead I got a fruit beer that hardly resembled a "strong IPA" or even any sort of IPA. It poured a bronze color and was topped with no head at all. As soon as I opened the bottle there was a rush of apricots and I never really got much past that in the aroma. This beer reminds me A LOT like Magic Hat #9, perhaps a little stronger alcohol presence. After drinking it a while there was some sort of flavor that resembled spicy hops but it’s too sweet and definitely overshadowed by apricots. I’ve got 3 more (purchased 4 pack) so I’ll give it another shot but unless something really changes I probably won’t get it again. Update -- as promised I had it again and nope, it’s just not very good. I can see it being alright if you’re in the right mood and want something fruity and a bit different. Just don’t expect a lot of hops. View it as a fruit beer, not an IPA.

YOu never know what you are going to get with a fruit beer, so I had low expectations. They always seem to be better when the fruit is not the main attraction, and that is true to a certain point here. Its like Magic Hat #9 on steroids, way hoppier and sharper. My only issue is it doesnt look good. Uncool bottle and no head.
