Appearance: Dark orange colored with a small amount of white head which quickly dissipated. Medium amount of carbonation.
Aroma: A slight amount of hops, malt, and apricots was present.
Taste: A slight taste of bittering hops hits the palate but then is overwhelmed by the apricots. I’m not sure if this can be called a "strong IPA", as many of the characteristics of an IPA are not present. Nice mouthfeel.
Overall: Not a bad beer. Could be better on a hot summer day. robbmotiwalla (50), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2008 pours amber with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. the smell is almost pilsnery mixed with some regular old macro beer smell. quite a sour taste, i taste that more than hops. seems kinda like they brewed 60 minute with half the hops and replaced those with apricots. if you want a good ipa go drink 90 minute dmtroyer (415), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2008 12oz bottled 3/5/08. Pours clear dark orange with an off-white head. Nose is very interesting, does replicate my idea of the smell of dried apricots but has some less pleasant off-shoots in there like boxwood or a cat-owned basement. Body is similar, quite baffling... am I missing something? This has more pilsner like characteristics than IPA and overall I don’t really like it very much. Wouldn’t have guessed it was an IPA. mar (1944), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2008 Literally a step up from Festina Peche...similarly, this lacks the prominent "Apricot/Peach" one would expect due to it’s name. More vibrant in color than its counterpart, the small white head is the same. This beer does possess a more balanced flavor profile, successfully mixing sweet and sour. Still not a favorite. bpowers (24), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 18, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours an amber/golden color with a small thin white head. Aroma is mostly malt with some citrusy hops and a ltitle bit of fruity apricot also present. The taste is much the same. Malt backkbone really comes through strong with the hops playing a minor role in the background. A suprising lack of hops for an IPA made by DFH. Hops are pretty much only detecable in a pretty dry and bitter finish. No ctrusy hop notes, suprising since they say they are using Willamette and Cascade. Apricot taste is not heavy and comes in a little bit in the finish but reallly makes it mark on the aftertaste. Pretty pleasant after the bitter finish. Its a pretty heave/thich beer with minimal carbonation. Not DFH’s best effort by any means. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2008 i was expecting better from dogfish head, but then again, it’s freakin good anyway, for an apricot beer, would suggest magic hat over this one humuloneranger (8), Oregon, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Earthy hops with a little apricot hidden in the malt aroma. Beautiful gold amber color. Carbonation helps with the hops which are more spicy than bitter. Apricot blends with the malt - not very pronounced. A really balanced, drinkable beer. I gotta say I was expecting a little more... was the apricot covering up minor flaws (oxidation, etc.)?
