What a surprizing beer. I only had 1/2 a bottle but I was amazed. The hops balanced the sweetness of the apricot and mad a very enjoyable beer. I will go and buy some and then complete a proper review.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Floral and aromatic scent of honey with sweetened down malts. Color was a burnt shade of orange with small bubbles of carbonation rising to the top of thin layer of foam head. The flavor is sweet and richly caramelized with a high quality of malt, but there is also a floral hop bite that only hints to dried apricot.

an excellent blend of fruit in an IPA without overpowering the hops and blend of the malts. This beer is a great chance to enjoy a fruity strong IPA, well done!!

Light copper color. Generous head. Huge apricot fruit nose. Not much else. Very appetizing. Palate is oily/juicy fruit, clearly apricot, with hops to balance but the focus is still on the apricot. Great fruit beer (to me) but not sure if it really fits the characterization of IPA also.

This fruit beer poured a dark orange colour with a quick living, bright white head. To the nose there are scents of apricots, ripe citric fruit, bread and a little caramel. First sip was different. Flavours of apricots, hopps and citrus. Slightly watery. Finish is lame and watery with hopp/apricote bitterness lingering.

A really solid offering from DFH, and these are words from a guy who usually doesn’t enjoy most DFH products (some exclusions apply of course). But this was a really refreshing IPA and I’m sure would be a bit better in May or June instead of December.

The beer pours out a dark golden orange color, slightly cloudy with a bright white head with average retention. Aroma is sweet with a herbal veg hop nose with some soft fruity tones. The flavor is suprisingly not as fruity as I would expect, but rather more herbal/minty like hop character, muddled sweet caramel notes and a finish of dried apricots. Easy to enjoy and while it wasn’t overflowing with apricot goodness, it did peak out at the end of the beer.

Very nice balance between the sweetness from the malts and apricots and the bitterness of the multiple hops...didnt really get a good amount of the apricots, but this is a very drinkable beer

Delicous apricot flavors in another great beer from Dogfish Head. I have tried from both the bottle and the tap and both are very enjoyable.

When I picked this up I wasn’t expecting a Pyramid Apricot, but I was expecting something sweet, this was something unexpected. This is a good IPA but with a sour tinge. Color was a deep amber, I didn’t get much of a smell. The taste and mouthfeel is where this beer set’s itself apart. It has an overpowering sour flavor with a malty finish. The mouthfeel is a tart finish. This is a solid beer, but I couldn’t have a 4-pack back to back. A very complex beer showing DogFish’s skill at coming up with something out of the ordinary.
