I’ve always liked Dogfish’s use of ingredients in their brews, but I’m not feeling this one. Pours a purplish darkish red. There’s some currant in the taste, in particular the finish. There is a dryness and hopinness in the middle. In my opinion, this is a failed experiment, but Dogfish is allowed to do so because everything else they brew is fantastic. Just move on the something else, please.

looked like red cream soda, tasted like vinegar...must have been a bad batch, or poor keeping...but not finishable if that is a word...

A fruity aroma but no malt or hop aroma. Red in appearance and well carbonated. Fruity flavor dominates the beer.

The aroma in this beer was very much liked cooked vegetables and a sour smell. The appearance was a ruby color. The flavor was obnoxiously sweet and almost had an oxidized flavor which sat on the palate with no hop and malt balance. I feel this is one of the worst beers I have had and an insult to the great brewery. ---------R DONAHUE

This one was yeasty with only mild currrant notes and some citrisy hops; sweet front end with a dry finish; somewhat flat body; pretty good and not overly fruity, I like.

Surprised to see it on tap at Benno’s. Interesting purpleish color, the aroma was musty ,woody plum the taste and palate reminded me of grape fizzies,a dry sour aftertaste. Actually a nice thirst quencher, but you wouldn’t want more than one per evening

Bleah. I agree with the previous taster. Nice try at something interesting, but it’s too fruity. Too much sugar in the currants and way too much sour tang with a bland finish.

If i wanted a soda i would have gone to 711 and got a grape 16ouncer. Poured purple, looked purple, smelled like a grape purple kool-aid..good effort for the holidays but instead of bottling it..splash it into a cup with crushed ice and ask them if they want it biggie sized.
