Far and away the worst DFH beer I’ve ever had. On tap in Rehoboth, pours the color of the Red Violet crayon in the big crayola boxes. Head is light pink. Flavor is sour and fruity, but not like a lambic, and not like currants. It’s quite reminiscient of Red Bull. I’m just going to pretend this beer didn’t happen and not let it mar my opinion of DFH.

Damn. My bottle must be defunked! Almost finished and I am still waiting for it to turn purple like below. It definately becomes smoother and more enjoyable the warmer it gets, and the farther you get into it. Some fruity tones with a salty taste. It’s overall bitterness isnt bad. Looks more like watered down sweet tea. Am I missing something here?

Tap: Purple, fruity tones ofcourse somewhat bitter nice head. Decent job hiding the alch content although it would be better if it were higher and slightly more hopped.

Nose is very nice, very fruity and not unlike a tripel in some ways.Flavor doesn’t come close to how nice the aroma is.The berry is there but that’s a little weak as is the rest of this brew.

Purple pour, aroma of veggies and bitterness. That’s not a smell but you can just tell. Flavor is currants, of course, but it comes out tasting like beets, rhubarb, god knows what else. Intense bitterness that masks the beer (and alcohol) underneath. Have they changed this? because the past reviews don’t sound like they are describing the same beer. Interesting, but the most un-beerlike fruit beer I’ve ever seen.

Pours reddish/purple with a pink head. Had more of a white grape aroma and flavor than dark/black grape characters in my opinion. Maybe has some honey in it also. I give these guys credit for taking chances, some of their brews just don’t fancy me.

Color is quite unique, deep ruby with a think pink head. Aroma is a sour malt and grain. Flavor is fruity and somewhat wine like. Quite an astringent feel and flavor. Not really what I was expecting from DFH.

Cloudy yellow, with a white head. Aromas are sweet fruit and some hops. Very cloying fruit flavors. This one’s not for me....
