Nice flavor, color, and aroma. Tastes just a bit like Midas Touch, but not as strong (and much better). BuckNaked (1209), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2004 Bottle: Bright & hazy straw colored beer with a good sized white head that quickly diminishes. Has a nice light fruit aroma of currants, peaches, banana, grapes as well as a light yeasty sourness and some wheat. Taste is a bit more sour than I was expecting, similar to a lambic though not nearly as sour. After the initial sour shock, the beer opens up a bit and becomes light, smooth and creamy allowing you to taste the malt, currant, yeast, and a touch of hops. Medium bodied, it finishes crisp, dry and leaves you with a lingering hint of currants. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Ommegang fest. Bottle. Hazy golden ale. Light fruity aroma but no currant here. Nice sweet wheat beer with more grapes than currant. Sweet finish. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2004 Clear, bright peachy color, large, active, creamy head, a lush downy pillow that bubbles and pops as it drifts down...boisterously crackling, too, put one to your ear and hear!
Aroma: fresh and sweet, wide open and airy, but very vague, suggesting nothing too significantly, sweet fruits, strawberries, grapes, banana.
On the tongue, smooth, creamily, so, light and luscious. Very brisk and fruity! Hops are mild, and malt is sturdy, great texture, too. Medium body, almost light, with a sweetly lingering finish. Damn, this is good stuff! Doesn’t possess enough complexity to really rate, but the taste is top-notch. Definitely bound to be a hit with the fruit-beer crowd. Put down those wine coolers, ladies, Dogfish Head to the rescue! Yum!

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 22, 2004 Golden in color with a small large bubbled white head. Im not exactly sure what a currant is, but I guess I am smelling it. Reminds me of candy cherries, and maybe a bit of sour patch kids. When I first tasted this one I was totally underwhelmed. I was expecting a bit more of a fruity taste, but got almost none. I got some sweetness, but I think that was more malts than fruit, and then finshed bitter. Maybe I am missing something here, but I was not impressed with this one at all. burcusabrews (106), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Cloudy straw-colored with no head. Sour aroma/ some berries. Sour artificial flavor more like sweettarts than real fruit. Lingering sour finish compared to a lambic this is very poor, actually compared to anything this is quite poor tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
