An orange glow of amber. The head thinks about showing up but gets lost on the way to the party. Courants are strong about a grainy malt. Dates and nuts make it seem like a breakfast cerelal in alcoholic, liquid form. The carbonation is low, but it’s not flat.

I hated this the first time around. The second time through, I really enjoyed this one. I am not sure about the fruit beer designation. This seems to be a light APA with some fruit notes. Pours from the bottle with a dark gold and orange color. A few bubbles quickly rise to the top and there is almost no head. The currant taste is strong at first. Then you can also detect some hops citrus. The aroma is currants with flowers and oranges. Also has a slight smell of red wine.

surprise....currants/raspberries in the nose. lightly carbonated gold color, and just a bit of head. significantly more currant in the nose than in the body--predominantly malty and sweet flavor, but some light hops give it a sour and tangy finish. interesting. one of the few beers that smell a lot better than they taste...

Pours a cloudy peach color with a small white head. Earthy hop aroma, light currant nose. Flavor is berry fruity but not overwhelming. Lightly perfumy and soapy flavor. Nicely balanced with a sour finish. Very nice.

Hazy peach color with sudsy white head. Sharp fruity nose of currants and mild spice. Fruity with medium sourness and some nice yeasty funk that provides some depth. Nice, crisp refresher. I enjoyed this.

Pours a lemon gold with a small, disappearing head. Aroma and taste is of currants, with hops and malt noticeable and balanced. Other flavors are there, such as apple and perhaps some rasberry. Not sure why people don’t notice the currant, it’s the most dominant flavor in the beer. I’d imagine if it aged a little the fruit flavor would be more muted, if that’s you thing.

I thought the beer was good the first few sips i had, but after awhile the fruity flavor got to be a bit much for me.
