Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head. Delicious sweet aroma of citrus, malt, and alcohol. Nice complex flavor of toasted malt, oak, fruit, and brown sugar. Smooth citrus (maybe grapefruit) finish. Solid, full mouth feel. Definitely like this one. Probably going to get a 4-pack and try aging a couple.

Interesting aroma of oxidized malt cardboard and aged hops. Clear bronze covered by a lasting white blanket. Salty pine and citrus hops together with a nice caramel malt. Lemon and white grape notes. Medium body, medium carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

Nov 29, 2009 Really really interesting IPA. Rolling this around in your mouth really allows you to find all of the corners of flavor. I couldn’t quite put my tongue on it, but it seemed like wine for moments. It warms you up and delivers a very nice hop experience. The only drawback is that it is a little boozy tasting.

Nov 29, 2009 Very well balanced Double IPA. Pours dark golden with a white head. The oak flavor is present on the end of the palate. The oak flavor balances with piney hop taste to reduce the burn of the alcohol and the bite of the hops. Good beer and great flavor / aroma.

Nov 25, 2009 Pour from a 12oz. dense head and a dark amber color. Nose is dominated by caramel, resin and pine with faint rose floral quality. Taste is extremely sweet like a candy with a bitter finish. Some anise and oak. Taste is not well balanced though reasonable complex. Feel is smooth with a light carbonation. Coats well and rolling it brings out a bourbon taste.

Nov 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a large fluffy tan head. Complex nose of sweet malts and floral/grassy hops. One of the most aromatic brews i’ve experienced. Very creamy and sweet on the palate with an great bitter hop finish. I am a big fan of 90min IPA and this is one step above. I really really like this brew. I am so lucky to live so close to the source as I seem to be finding Dogfish Head brews in more and more shops.

Nov 25, 2009 Clear, amber in color, and has a decent beige colored head. Nice aroma of hops, pine, caramel, fruits, sweetness, vanilla, and toffee. The taste is some bitterness, fruits, sweet, alcohol, some wood, and good.

Nov 25, 2009 Taster at The mondial 09 in Montreal. The color is amber with a beige head. The aroma is of hops +++and fruits. The taste also of very good hops plus citrus fruits, the bitterness is just right.The 10 % alcohol is there and very good.The finish in yopur mouth is the nice bitterness.
