| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2008 750 ml bottle purchased at 99 Bottles in Federal Way, Washington. Pour is very cloudy yellow orange with a 2 inch white head. Head fades fairly quickly with huge rocky bubbles. In the glass there is visible fine carbonation. Has an unfiltered look to it. Aroma of honey, and white grapes. Floral, very perfumy. Soft melon fruit sweetness - honeydew or cantaloupe. Taste is very wine like, melon and grape fruits reminiscent of white wine. There is some ginger spiciness in the middle and candy sugar sweetness in the finish / aftertaste. The honey thick sweetness is in the finish as well. This is a really unusual beer. Amazing story on the label and a fascinating recreation. Alcohol is well masked, I would not have guessed this strength. This was fun to drink, and fun to brew I imagine. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Draft @Uber. Hazy dark gold with a tight head. Aroma is... wtf ? cheesy barnyard and earthy white grapes, mmmkay. Mild carbonation and smooth. Nice earthy flavors of spices, sweet pale malts and white grapes made for a most tasty beverage here. Enjoyed this one. radiomgb (2057), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Golden-orange in colour, thin white coloured head, thin lacing. The aroma is alcoholic, some grapes, lots of fruits, lightly sweet. The flavour is grapey, lots of noticable alcohol, very sweet, some honey. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, hot and very sweet. Very weird, there is just too much other beer to worry about this one.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy pale orange, the head on this one was white and fizzy. Light lacing left on the tulip. Big aromas of honey, sour citrus, yeast, and light hops. Brew was very clean and smooth. Chalk up another good brew from DFH! gabrielsyme (66), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours hazy golden with little to no white head, medium carbonation. Initial taste is fruity with strong tastes of apples/grapes, with a slightly bitter finish. Very dry, almost reminds me of a dry sparkling wine more than a beer. Good overall. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 12, 2008 I really enjoyed this beer. It pours a hazy amber with a quickly fleeting head. There’s a really interesting fruitiness (I’m going to assume it’s the hawthorn). A bit of honey on the nose. Fairly mellow, but still flavorful. Really tasty.
