| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving traces of lace. Cloudy almost pale amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Grape nose. Flavor is grape at first but then a sweet/tartness from the hawthorn, hops are in the background. Clean finish. Interesting beer. $10.90 for a 750ml bottle from Tully’s Beer and Wine Wells, ME. Bottled on Jul 11, 2007. FROTHINGSLOSH (2030), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured an orange-golden color with a large white head. The aroma was dry, spritzy and rather musty. The flavor was dry yet tangy with elements of grape, pepper and lemon and having a robust mustiness like in Belgian farmhouse ales. As the beer warms the mustiness subsides and the sweet fruitiness comes out. Bonus points for creativity. after4ever (2783), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 14, 2007 750, capped. Pours perfectly murky toffee amber with a thick white moussy head that falls away quickly. Massively dusty nose, along with some candied oranges and white sugar. Spectacularly beautiful label. Lightish, fizzy body. Tangy orange business, and some gumdroppy candy flavors. Fruitcakey. Not too crazy about this one but it probably holds its own next to a big plate of food...that said, doubt I’d buy it again. WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2007 7/07 Bottle. My 4th rating, of 2nd Belgian Beer Club shindig. Pours gold orange with a bright white ring. Nose is light with a little bit of honey in it. Taste was sweet, with lots of honey, a little strange overall but pretty interesting. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Draft at Capones. Interesting brew. Had very solid Belgian triple qualities with the sweetness, but maybe it had more to do with the nonexistent hop taste. It sure does hide the alcohol well. Floback (335), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Courtesy of Haskell’s. I’ve sampled this a few times in the past, but haven’t rated until now. Pours no head and a murky, dark orange with a white rim. Oily, loose lacing. Nose is strong honey and starfruit. Tastes include much more honey, grain cereal, malt, wheat, and pitted citrus fruits. A little syrupy for my tastes. There’s also an aftertaste that I can’t quite identify or agree with. Maybe some steamed rice. High carbonation and full-bodied. Very strange indeed. An interesting brew, if consumed sparingly. Beer from CHIIIIINA!!!! KiDAcE (35), Canton, Ohio, USA
| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Yes. Very nice. The nose was subtle as grapes can be the honey mellow and a very nice touch of malts. Well defined palate of grapes with an almost creamy smooth honey sticky feel but not overdone. More refreshing and crisp than thick or syrupy...that needed cleared; VERY FINE! Perfect 5. dra19 (89), holland, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Pours cloudy yellow with medium white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet malty aroma with some spices. Taste has lots of citrus with some malt and spices. I really enjoyed this one.
