From bottle... poured dark brown with very fluffy tan head. Aroma was malty and coffee with hints of chocolate... loved it. Flavor is complex, but meshes well. Seems like a blend of roasty coffee and chocolate, but all flavors are mild. Slightly bitter on the way down. Very good. Was $2.75/bottle to go a B&H. I will pay that very time.

pours black with a good sized beige head. Aroma is quite malty, also with chocolate and coffee. Flavor is quite nice, with some lighter floral and bitter notes. Palate is not as thick as many stouts, and has a remarkably dry finish. Quite a good effort from Dogfish overall.

Pours black with one finger tan head. Aroma is of roasted barley and cocoa. Flavor is a roasty delight that balances some sweet molasses with a dry, cocoa like feel. Palate is full, but not quite full enough for the style. Great overall though.

Nice dark brown pour with quick fading dark tan head. Nose is coffee bean-ish, Overly roasted barley flavor. Pleasant amount of coffee and a hint of anise. Dry almost chalky finish. Not a big fan of coffee stouts, but this is still a quite drinkable breakfast beer.

Pours a dark black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is extremely heavy chocolate and roasted malt with a slight floral quality. Very rich and heavy cocoa powder. Flavor starts much like coffee, rich but slightly bitter and roasted. Keeps the roasted quality through the finish but picks up a bit of a thick creamy nuttiness, Finishes smooth and very easily bitter without being offputting. Medium body and moderat5e carbonation, Nice stout all around with a nice depth of sweet, bitter and floral.

12oz bottle. Poured deep dark brown color with a small sand colored head that thins out quickly. Heavy roasted coffee bean aroma. Big coffee flavor with bitter bops and a little chocolate. Medium bodied with a subtle carbonation.

Very dark brown that lets a little bit of light through when held up to the lamp. Smoky, charred coffee aroma. A nice roasty, smokey stout. Not sweet at all. Solid.
