Dogfish continues to impress me with their balance of flavors. They are creating a class of their own. Steady head, great taste, lasting impression, buy more Dogfish. smashteroid (251), USA

Although I am not drinking this currently, I’ve consumed enough to know pretty well how to comment on it. Pours dark brown, with a short-lived tan-colored head. Aroma is richly chocolate, coffee and smoke. Certainly not the best stout I’ve ever tasted, but it’s Dogfish Head so there is a distinctly unique flavor to it. And that flavor is chocolate, coffee, and roasted wood. The finish has only the slightest hint of hop bitterness. Overall a fine stout. ELab2 (38), USA

Dark brown, strong roasted coffee taste followed by a sweet caramelly finish. I really like the fact that it has St. John’s Wort in it for an even stronger feeling of "well-being." Unfortunately, they just don’t live up to the nose. Deep brown with copper tones and a small tan head, this beers flavors of chocolate, coffee, and wood just aren’t that enjoyable. Hmm. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

A sweet smoky taste with a bit of coffee/toffee too, ends smooth with a smokey aftertase of hicory and nuts.
