May 10, 2005 A dark red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma contains notes of coffee and chocolate as well as hints of leather on a slightly sour background. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee and roasted malt leading to a dry end that also contains notes of chocolate.

Oct 13, 2006 Bottled. Very dark brown/black and mediumsized brownish head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and some caramel. Flavour is coffee, roasted malts and slight chocolate. Also a bit vanilla. Extremely full and quite complex for a 5.2% ABV beer.
