Poured a clear effervescent golden with very little white head. Sour peach aroma. Taste is highly acidic with good peach flavor. Sticky body. Nicely drinkable. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 10, 2005 Pronounced peach aroma, sugary, a little alcohol. Clear golden color, little head. Quite sour, peach is still noticeable but takes a back seat to the sourness. Medium body, a little astringent. Nice experimental beer from DFH. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2005 Bottle courtesy of JSturm. Golden to light amber colored. Fast fading head with no lacing. Smells quite a bit like cider, more apples than peach for me. Light to medium bodied. Acidic with a puckering flavor. Fair at best. Pailhead (2602), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of JSturm at Schroppfy’s gathering. There is some peach in the aroma, but I really get a strong apple presence. Pours a transparent yellowish-gold with a white head. Tart up front with an added sweetness in the finish in the form of apple and peach. Aroma leans more towards a sweetness while the flavor leans a little more towards tartness. Reminds me a tart cider with a peach background. Amazingly, a beer by Dogfish that may be underrated. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 9, 2005 Not as tart as the Cantillon beers, but vert tart. Aroma of peaches, apricots, hops, citrus, oak, Brett. Tastes tart with a complex fruit presence. Not bad, but not a beer I’d try again at the price. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2005 This beer was pretty flat but I attribute that to time not craftmanship. This is one of those beers you either love or hate and judging by the ratings here, most hate it. To me this is a good sour not a bad sour. I love the acidic nature present and just want more of this hard to find tart beer. I’ve had lambics that were much sweeter and fuller than this but the tartness of this brew knocks me out. I think the style should be Sour as far as categories go. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 4, 2005 The Lure: Apricots, peaches and pears sit on the funk. A cloudy and flat unblended lambic appearance probably yielding a low to medium tartness.
The Festivities: A lifeless mouthfeel deters from the funky fruitiness of peaches, apricots and lemons. Tartness is average for the style, so not Cantillon proud, but more like a Drie Fonteinen afternoonish aperitif.
Transcendence: Even if the mind is bustling, the stagnant body will ultimately overcome it. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | May 4, 2005 Very tart and fruity aroma (peach, apple, pear, lemon). Opaque golden yellow-orange with a shy, white, fully-diminishing head. Very tart and fruity but lacking in malt or wheat body. Very watery in texture with almost no carbonation that leaves this one feeling lifeless. Bottle sampled with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
