Subtle sweetness; big lemon; big sourness; mild bitterness. Citrusy and somewhat acidic. Curiously interesting. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 3, 2004 Bottle at GABF. Cider/vinegar nose. Taste is very acidic, vinegary, and tart. The acidity absolutley attacks the tongue. Reminds me of a sour cider. I did not enjoy this at all. Crosling (1855), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 3, 2004 I actually got a head. Not the typical head, more like a poured Mugg root beer head. It disappeared immediately. The color is a yellowish/greenish hay.
Nice nose. Typical tart aroma blended with peaches.
First off, what is alarming about this beer is its flat nature throughout the entire sip. I find it to be very distracting. Starts out with farmhouse, woody, grass lambic qualities then shifts completely to the peaches. But there is something wrong. Something wrong with the peaches. They don’t taste fresh. They taste rotton. Finishes off with a little bit of banana and some sourness and dryness but c’mon...this stuff sucks. I love Dogfish Head and I admire the brewery for its creativity but this beer needs some serious work. It’s drinkable but not enjoyable. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Soft golden body with a thin, off-white head. Slightly sweet fruity nose with hints of funk. Sweet peaches, light cheese, light lemon, hay and lactic acid. The body is more substantial than I would have guessed, but it’s still light and refreshing. The flavor has a wonderful contrast of sweet and tart fruit. The start has a nice sweetness followed by a light, funky tartness. I’m not sure what all the problem was with beer. The flavors were phenomonal and provided excellent balance. Maybe it needed more time to achieve this beauty. Please, DFH, bring this back; it kicks ass. Much respect is owed frielock for sending this many moons ago. zeppelinsoul (20), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Sep 12, 2004 DFH is my favorite microbrewy in this fine country, but I have to say the Festina Lente was a huge let down. I picked this up with high hopes and glowing eyes. I tore through the cork with the excitment of a small child on christmas morn. As i slowly sipped from its vanishing head, i was dismayed by its flaccid taste. I was expecting a light peach/fruity beer, but instead i was greeted with the taste of listerine and soap. I understand that DFH is so great because those guys take risks, you win some and you lose some. So Festina Letitstay on the shelf and pick up another DFH favorite.it is going to take a little more than this to light this cowboy’s fire. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Nice subdued peach aroma and taste. Tart/sour finish. Overall, I enjoyed drinking this one - thanks for choosing this one DrNate03, I probably would have passed it by...
