Hazy golden amber with thin white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice peach flavor to start. Tangy, not quite lactic. Good tart acidity, very lambic-like. Peachy tart finish, peachy spice after. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

I give the folks at Dogfish credit for trying something different but it really didn’t turn out quite that good. TheBeerGod (3166), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2004 Updated: Mar 22, 2006Thanks to egajdzis for sending this way back when! Pours an apple juice gold with zilch going on in the head department. Aroma is actually very lambic-ish as opposed to carbonated sugar water. Nice and tart, but I can’t necessarily discern peaches. The taste is tart but there is some underlying sweetness. The taste is dominant sour fruit, possible peach and nectarine, with some faint hints of grain. Possible hint of honey hiding in there as well. The mouthfeel is tart and acidic, but flat. Really none of the champagne like carbonation that patterns this style of beer. Some yeasty notes towards the end and more sour fruit. Nice attempt at a lambic for a US brewer. On a final note, I do notice as it warms up that the peach flavor comes through a bit more. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 25, 2004 An interesting brew to say the least. Bright cider like color with not much head. Mostly sour peach aroma. Taste is tart sour peach which isn’t bad but if you want beer, this is missing some key ingredients, like hops maybe. It does have a somewhat warming taste from the 7% I suppose but somehow inlike any Lambic I have tasted. Leave it to DFH for that, as usual. BennyTicklez (621), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2004 Pours yellow with hardly any head at all. Taste is very sour and fruity, peach/apple. Doesn’t resemble a beer at all. But, decent for a change. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2004 The nose is very nice - traditional cheesiness almost. It is tart, far less sweet than some such as Lindemanns Peche - better than the score here indicates and I applaud the effort - I think it has finally done some refermenting in the bottle after a long while on the shelf (although still too thin and not fully carbonated) at Belmont Party Supply. Try it. invalid (302), Columbus, Ohio, USA
