Poursa cloudy golden hue with no head. Aromas of peaches, mint, a light sourness. Flavors of peaches and lemons with a nice creaminess on the palate and a light bitterness.

Pours with a slightly cloudy, light orange body wtih no head or lacing. Tart and sour wtih a nice barnyard and some lemony notes and a touch of underlying sweetness in the nose. Light, crisp and dry.

750mL bottle, 2004 vintage. I didn’t buy this beer expecting anything terribly tasty (given its ratings), nor was I expecting any amount of carbonation. One of these expectations was met. The beer starts rather blase, looking like uncarbonated, murky peach juice - such that this is one of the few times I’m giving less than a 3 for appearance (I wouldn’t like to carry this beer around with company present, for instance). The aroma is like pungent, sour peaches: sweet and sour, with the slightest hint of oak; mouthwatering, such that it would work well as an apertif. Regarding the vast sourness cited elsewhere, people need to drink more lambics - the tartness here is pleasant, refreshing, and pales in comparison to the jaw-aching quality of a Cantillon. Sour peaches dominate the palate, with layers of oak and citrus and hints of vanilla following just behind. Compared to something like Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru (an intentionally still lambic), this is far more drinkable and tasty. Balanced levels of sourness, just the right amounts of peaches; it makes me wish I had a carbonated keg of this beer. I’m looking forward to the Festina Peche coming out in the summer.

2004 750ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a very small off white bubbly head. Slight lacing left on the glass. Aroma was vary fruity, picking up some of the peaches and maybe some melon. Candy/malty sweetness. Flavor is very tart/sour. The peach is in there, but kind of behind the upfront tartness. Flavor reminds me a lot of tart/sour candies like Sour Patch Kids. Lacking in cabonation.

750 ml bottle. Golden cloudy beer. Very sour smelling, with lots of malic and citric acid over a massive fresh peachy aroma. The peach is pronounced and very fresh smelling (considering the age of this now). Strong acidic tartness, fresh peach, honey and light vanilla. Crisp and refreshing with lots of late juiciness. Awesome stuff… why they can’t make stuff like this anymore is beyond me. Bottle shared with beastiefan2k, gotmos, notalush and apoptosis. Golden slightly hazy beer. Beautiful fruity aroma with peach/apricot of honeyed sweetness as well. Some other melon, cherry, and strawberry fruit notes. The flavour is a wonderful combination of sweet and tart, fruity berries along with creamy tapioca/melon sweetness. Soft tartness and sweet spicy wildness. Faintly lactic with a hint of barnyardy character. More full-bodied than any other lambic I’ve ever had, but it’s still very nice. 8 3 7 3 14
