Does not look or smell special. Their comparison to pinot grigio is pretty close. Dry, champagne like feel / aftertaste. An odd brew but worth a taste. My first Berliner Weisse, quite different than a sour. Still on the fence about this one. Kudos to dogfish head for brewing up such a rare style. joeneugs (308), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Pours extremely pale yellow and watery looking, not outside of style though. The aroma is nice with wheat, yogurt, and peaches. A little funky. The flavor is somewhat sour and watery with, obviously, peaches. Its very frothy in the mouth. Finishes dry and bready. Tastes kind of like one of those vitamin waters, decent yeast character though. Alex420 (38), Rome, Italy

No head. Pale pale yellow. Brett lemon aroma. Brett lemon taste, medicinal. Terrible, not thought through at all. No body.
Nonsense.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Appearance is a highly carbonated slightly darker Mt Dew. Scent is of canned mandarin oranges, slightly off putting. Taste is actually really good, sour lemon, peach, bready finish. Mouth is highly carbonated and rather thin, and extremely dry on the finish. Overall quite a good beer. phaleslu (461), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy pale yellow gold color with a small white head that doesn’t last long. There isn’t much to the aroma, some peach, lemon citrus, skunk, and champagne. Nice tart flavor, with peach, lemon citrus, green grapes, lemon juice, and just a little straw and wheat for body. The body is still very light, with a tart, sweet, dry, and acidic mouthfeel. This is my first Berliner Weisse, an interesting introduction to the style. tiggmtl (4310), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Sweet peaches, lemons and tart wheat in the nose. Opaque yellow gold body is topped by a shy white head that recedes to a partial cover. Very tart and dry flavour up front with some citrus notes and lingering fruity sweetness in the finish. Dry medium body with very strong carbonation that prickles the tongue. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Jul-09. CUJO (339), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2009 bottle: tulip: pours a cloudy dark yellow, 1 finger head. The nose is almost like champagne or white wine. I wasn’t prepared for the taste, never had any beer like this... super high carbonation, with sour/ bitter uber sweet champagne/ white wine characteristics. I really tried, but never found the peach although there is no denying how sweet this beer really is. MJGG (403), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
