MeisterBrew (138), Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a nice bubbly body and head. Aroma of grass, lemons, and a hint of peach. Flavor is very impressive. Nice face puckering sourness ending with a nice mellowing fruity peach flavor. Very good, very refreshing. Spectacular brew from Dogfish Head. I never considered myself much of a fan of their offerings, but this one has me swayed. SDalkoholic (1186), Chula Vista, California, USA Jul 13, 2009 Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Poured a glowing yellow hue with tons of floating chunks of yeast and a tiny fizzy head is a brief summary on the view. The nose is grassy with a confusing scent of either hay or really plain hop. The flavor is extremely tart and sour with a shocking flavor just like an unripe grapefruit. I didn’t notice any peach in this beer and think it needed to be rounded out with some sweetness or more peach in order for me to like it one bit. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 12, 2009 Pours an eggshell white head that lasts as a ring and has legs. Body is hazy golden. Smells of farmhouse sour. Flavor is sour, lemon zest, some dried apricot and peach flavors. Finish is sour. Produces lots of saliva. Refreshing. RapeBeer (10), Indiana, USA Jul 11, 2009 When I was about six years old, I poured myself a glass of Grapefruit juice, mistaking the carton for Orange juice. My first sip was such an unpleasant shock that I honestly gagged. The bitter acidity of Grapefruit juice had no place inside my, or any other humans’ mouth. As I attempted to pour the remainder of my cup down the drain, my mother stopped me and told me that I had to finish what I had started. Over the next month, I would take a sip of the vile juice ever other day or so, slowly reducing my cruel and unusual punishment. When I took my first sip of Festina Peche, it instantly reminded me of my last sip of the vile, spoiled Grapefruit juice that I had poured nine years prior. It is overly acidic and sour. Every aspect of drinking and swallowing this sad excuse for a beer was excruciating. Even my time-honoured tradition of chugging (which is great for downing undesirable beverages) failed me, as the burn of this fermented urine assaulted my mouth and throat and begged every ounce of me to cease and desist. Dogfish Head is a respectable brewery, but this is a crap beer. And, thanks mom, I learned my lesson, I finished what I started and I finished the sorry beer. I hope you’re happy. JHunter (242), British Columbia, Canada Jul 10, 2009 pours a white cloudy yellow colour with light head which dissipates quickly.taste very tart like sucking on a hard candy flavour. MapleSyrup (7), Pajo, Kentucky, USA does not count Jul 10, 2009 like hazy sunlight, the initial burst of wheatgrass gives way to a tart & peachy finish, a tad bitter, refreshing, taste got better as the bottle progressed MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 7, 2009 Updated: Jul 8, 2009From Full Throttle Bottles in Seattle, WA. It all began with a head that almost wasn’t and a body of cloudy light gold. Oh yes, I was ale to coax some sediment from the nether regions of the bottle; I hate waste! The aroma was lightly "peached", and so was the taste. Mouthfeel was about average, and the second mouthfull was better than the first. It finished a bit less bitter than the taste. For sure this is a better choice for summer drinking that manning the barbeque in mid-January! Fairly refreshing; this is my first Berliner Weisse. MatSciGuy (627), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Jul 6, 2009 [Bottle] bottled on 5/8/08. Pours a cloudy gold with a diminishing effervescent white head. Aroma is a bit funky and a little medicinal. There is some hint of tartness in there, as well as some fruit. Flavor is quite tart, fairly thin, peachy towards the end, and leaves a lasting tartness. Really nice and refreshing beer, I would love to have this around all the time.
