Sleeper (76), Washington, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours hazy straw color. The peach smell comes through but not overly done. At first drink it was sour; like pull a sour face, sour. It seemed medium in my mouth and pretty carbonated. I guess i’ve never had this specific type of beer; so I may be suspect... SB (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2008 From bottle. Poured cloudy yellow. Small white bubbly head. Aroma of citrus, and peach. Flavor hits with sour peach. Tart. Carbonation was good. Body was medium. Dry finish. sour after taste which I liked. Easy to drink. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 30, 2008 Updated: Feb 9, 200912 oz. Cloudy pear-golden with a small head that immediately fizzles away. Aroma of sourish yeast, citrus oil and light peach. Flavor is lemon juice with a hint of peach. Light body is astringent and mouth-puckering. About as complex as lemon juice with a slice of peach. Recommended pairing: This beer and Drano should work wonders on that nasty clog. FlagstoneHill (211), Erie, Colorado, USA Sep 27, 2008 27Sep08: 12 oz
Aroma: Fruity, peach with some sour acidic notes. little if any malt aroma.
Pale gold, a bit hazy, small white head with low persistence.
Flavor: Quite sour but not vinegary, Peach flavors behind the sourness. No hops, no malt. Clean finish
Light body, medium carbonation, a bit drying in the finish.
Overall, a very nicely done Berliner weisse - quite within the style guidelines. The peach is present, but certainly takes a back seat to the sourness. Quite refreshing. HonkeyBra (1258), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pours yellow color. Aroma is a bit sour. Flavor is somewhere between a white wine and tart grape juice. mouthfeel is fine, overall i like it. An interesting, refreshing, different type of beer. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 25, 2008 The aroma is sour and fruity. Cloudy yellow pour with almost no head. Good flavor of tart, green apples, it’s fruity and refreshing, almost puckering. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 22, 2008 Bottle... Poured yellow with literally no head. Aroma of tropical fruit juice and tart esters. Very carbonated and attacked the palate nicely. Very sweet and fruity flavors and very sour towards the finish and an aftertaste of yeast. I could taste the peach a little, but definitely not over bearing which was good. Would have gotten a lot higher of a rating from me if it had even a tiny bit of a crown. gwpom (246), Akron, New York, USA Sep 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light amber color, the aroma more bitter than I was expecting from something with peach on the label. The taste was also sour, and my first thought was someone doesn’t know the difference between peaches and lemons. Perhaps it’s because it’s later in the season and the brew is souring somewhat, I don’t know, but I was not impressed. And it was on sale buy one get one. You get what you pay for...
