Bottle pours hazy golden with little head. Aroma is very light bread. First taste grabs your taste buds with bitterness. The carbonation is okay and the bitterness kills the whole flavor of the beer. The finish is bitter as well. Not much peach aroma or flavor just the bitterness.

Poured to a cloudy pale yellow with little head or lacing, almost looks like a pale cider. Aroma is slightly sour skunk and try as I could, I detected no peach. The flavor is not terrible, but hard to tell due to the sour mouthfeel. This all led to a finish that was very dry and stale. A very disappointing effort by DFH

Cool to find this, refreshing and fruity smell creeps out of the bottle even before the pour. Light yellow with small head. Taste is really overpowering, not in a good way. Tastes tart, fake-fruity. Like drinking an airhead candy. Acrid, tart, powerful and not enjoyable. Never thought I’d say this about a DFH brew, but this a drainpour. Undrinkable.

Light and crisp, bubbly effervescent. Strong peach flavor. Grew on me, but, this one falls under the "if you like insert fruit, peaches, then you’ll like this one"

Nth TRIAL: Pours a brilliant straw yellow with almost no head; aroma is slightly of peaches but primarily of a scent that I always associate with deliciously sour; flavor is great lactic sourness with a touch of peach lurking somewhere in the background; the sour finish lingers on the palate as the thin body trickles down the throat, reminding you of how good that was and demanding you take another sip. Overall, I have to admit that I’m a total sucker for Berliner Weisses, and this one is done exceptionally well (in my opinion). I actually wasn’t a giant Dogfish Head fan prior to this, but forever pledge my allegiance to Sam Calagione as long as he continues brewing this beer.

12oz. Dogfish head’s most underrated beer? Quite possibly. This beer is nothing to look at with a slightly hazy orange pour. Nose is loads of lemons, limes and sour peaches. If you are looking for sugar in this beer you will surely be disappointed, the body is highly acidic with tons of peach skin, apricot and some slightly herbal qualities. This is definitely a food beer. Maybe I am biased because of the emotions of the evening, but this was absolutely stellar with clams (butter, parsley, lemon zest) and sauteed scallops. Treat this like a white wine and you will not be disappointed!

This is the only Berliner Weisse that I’ve ever tried, and I think that maybe I’m just not a fan of the style. Looks like a light version of a white ale. One finger loosely bubbled head that disappeared like a magic trick. Smells of unripened peach or apricot and white grapes also a definite sharpness to the aroma. Taste is of more of the same but with a wicked tang at the end. Tiny tangy bubbles dance around your mouth and bring a strange sour note to the whole thing. Taste more of wine to me than beer. One of Dogfish Heads very few offerings that I don’t like.

Sample at BCTC. Poured from a pitcher full of fresh peaches, so I’m not sure how much it affected the taste, but it was really good! Peachy throughout with hints of wheat on the nose. Very clean taste/finish. Would drink again.
