redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2008 Pours a hazy straw color with a yeast induced head that disappears as quickly as it appears. I really dont get much of anything in the aroma, mildly citric yeast. Flavor and palate, since they are related with this style, fairly sour and I suspect the peaches cut into this somewhat as they only add alittle to the flavor. A beer that when you first sip it you think I could drink this all day and then as you get about halfway done you think well maybe the 4-pack and as you reach the bottom you say yea I am done with that. hombrepalo (748), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle - First Berliner Weisse, not a style I liked. Very light orange with slight haziness upon pouring; peach aromas are stronger than the flavors; drinks very light w/ almost a feeling of sugarless fruit juice spiked w/ alcohol. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jun 28, 2008 sample. a light golden color.... sweet, peach and sugary aroma. the peach really hits you on the palate and is a bit sour and very sweet. definitely a fruit type beer. not really my style, but it has a nice strong feel that is not for the casual lite beer drinker. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Updated: Jul 6, 2008Bottle. Pours a light golden color, no head, very carbonated. Aroma of nice, light peach, light fruits, very sweet and inviting. Flavor of tart, sweet peaches. Spritzy. Lots of tartness, sourness and acidity. Some yogurt in the finish. A little hard to drink with all the acidity. Not as light or peachy as the Festina Lente, but still a nice drink. I hope to try this again alongside some nice grilled chicken. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle, bottled on 4/28/08. Aroma of sourish wheat, light peach-ish scent in background. Flavor becomes more intensely fleshy peach, stronger sour/tart notes exhibited as well. At first seemed a little light/watery, but as I went through the glass, became simple more and more deliciously refreshing. Fairly dry, but not to the bone. For a beer that’s not overly complex, still somehow kept growing on me and making me want more and more. Good stuff. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jun 26, 2008 Yellow color with a well developing, but then quickly diminishing foam. Nose shows some light malts, some funky character and lemon and peach aromas. Flavor is well balanced between the sourness and peach character. Goes down easy. I could see myself craving this once in awhile. Elizavyeta (110), Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2008 Shandy and peach-like aroma - not particularly strong or memorable, by and by.
Flavor is light, tart, and definitely peachy. Finish is short and sour, reminding one of a nice lemonade or possibly sweetened ice tea. Exceptionally refreshing!
Would be a nice apertif alongside a plate of vegetable crudites and a bright, young goat cheese. djones (116), Michigan, USA Jun 24, 2008 clouded yellow coloration. pungent sour flavor, though not all bad as it is relatively smooth. sweet, but an appropriate sweetness. tart, but not puckering. peachy.
