Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pour is a yellow cloudy with a brief white head. Yeast solids float for a while before settling. Aroma is floral hop and citrus. Very sour flavor with some vinegar. Peaches are faint as is wheat. Not as tart as expected but more smooth. An enjoyable beer in a one of my less than favored style. jrob21 (1252), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark yellow color, no head. Pungent aroma of yeast. Flavor is blasting tart at first but gives way to a fruity (peach) flavor. Finish is slightly bitter but more sour. Enjoyable summerish beer. cmillward (419), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours a light yellow hay color, fairly clear with some wispy, bubbly white head that fades fast. Tart sour aroma, touches of lemon. Tart and sour in the mouth, not too complex, but a nice berliner weisse. Really not picking up peaches much at all. Nicely carbonated, quenching with a dry finish. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Jun 22, 2008 Very sour, but not delivering on this sourness. Not much peach, but aroma is dogfood. Flavor is a sour flavor with not much delivery on the end. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Jun 22, 2008 Bottle courtesy Taverner. No exaggeration, the nose is dog crap. I have a dog. I know the smell. The flavor is very sour peaches, but the only good thing about this beer, it evolves several times over to nutty characteristics, to smooth oak flavor. The finish is SO much better than anything else about this beer. IPAaLLtHEwAY (136), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Jun 22, 2008 Wow I’m impressed with this beer. I cant really figure out why such a low rating has been bestown upon it. Pours Hazy lemonade like color with very fizzle white head that dissipates almost immediately. The flavor is tart with lemon and peach extract.Very good carbonation. I enjoyed this beer it has been very interesting. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA Jun 22, 2008 my first berliner weisse...really can’t make up my mind whether i like this or not. very peachy aroma, light body, heavily carbonated. sour fore-taste, dry, sharp aftertaste. not sure about this one... puboflyons (589), New Hampshire, USA Jun 20, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle, which was bottled 05/15/08. Pours a hazy, cloudy orange with almost no head. The fruity aroma overpowers any other malts, hops, or barley aromas. It smells more like a wine cooler. The taste is very dry and extremely sour, like lemon...but not lemony in flavor. It’s like a sour candy. It really didn’t appeal to me but as far as the style goes, I think they pulled it off OK. Still my lower rating is biased on my taste buds’ impressions, not the style. Earlier Rating: 8/31/2007 Total Score: 2 Poured a cloudy golden-yellow. There was an odd aroma that I couldn’t quite place. Sort of fruity but also like of alcoholic. The first sip was lip-puckering tart! It seemed to get a bit better but always remained tart and sour. Light mouth feel. Very dry in the end. Not something that blew me away but good for what it was.
