| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Jun 20, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle, which was bottled 05/15/08. Pours a hazy, cloudy orange with almost no head. The fruity aroma overpowers any other malts, hops, or barley aromas. It smells more like a wine cooler. The taste is very dry and extremely sour, like lemon...but not lemony in flavor. It’s like a sour candy. It really didn’t appeal to me but as far as the style goes, I think they pulled it off OK. Still my lower rating is biased on my taste buds’ impressions, not the style. Earlier Rating: 8/31/2007 Total Score: 2 Poured a cloudy golden-yellow. There was an odd aroma that I couldn’t quite place. Sort of fruity but also like of alcoholic. The first sip was lip-puckering tart! It seemed to get a bit better but always remained tart and sour. Light mouth feel. Very dry in the end. Not something that blew me away but good for what it was. WallyWalrus (205), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a very quickly fleeting white head. Aroma is earthy, with notes of grain, banana, citrus hops, and a bit of yeast. Taste is extremely tart, with a flavor of lemon, peach, and citrus -- it’s really close to a very strong lemonade-based punch with a long, dry finish. On repeated sipping, the bite does fade a bit and yield a bit more of the aformentioned flavor. Another Dogfish Head oddity, though an oddly refreshing and certainly unique one. punkrkr27 (614), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Hazy yellow pour with a small, short lived, fizzy, white head. Funky, acidic aroma with hints of peach, straw, clove, and banana. Very tart citrusy and acidic flavor with just a touch of peach and some slightly sweet yeastiness on the finish. A bit astringent. Medium-thin body with a very dry finish. graham515 (424), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Pours a dehydrated urine color into the glass. Bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass and not really creating any head. Aroma is straw like with some funk. As you first take a sip of this beer you think "hmm this is tart." As you begin to swallow the tartness intensifies dramatically and the finish is very very tangy. A really interesting beer. I would buy again, but not often. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2008 I always love my first experience with a new style, especially one as interesting as this. This beer pours a creamy orange color with a small bit of sediment and a pillowy white head. Small peachiness in the nose but peach is not really a strong fruit. Taste is something of a sour ale with a crisp bite on the tongue and a mouthful of carbonation. It finishes with a champagne like dryness. FunkyBrewster (443), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2008 Pours a light golden yellow with a tiny bit of haze to it and a small fading head. Aroma is surprisingly malty like a light lager, but maybe a bit of fruit tartness in it. Flavor Starts malty for about a split second and then bam, you get hit with the peach tartness through the finish. The tartness fades quickly in the swallow though, and the malt comes back and lingers. Light- medium bodied and refreshing, this would be a good summer sipper, but it could use a little more presence besides the tart. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 12 oz bottle. Light straw, cloudy with fizzy white head. Grainy wheat aroma with some tart fruit notes. Peach and pear flavor with moderate citrusy lemmon like sourness. Fizzy mouthfeel. Finish is crisp and dry. Interesting flavor profile and a nice change on a hot summer day. changeup45 (788), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Pours a murky yellow color with a quick fading white head. Aroma is malty and grassy with just a faint hint of citrus fruit. The beer tastes very tart and tangy with lemons and peaches and a touch of wheaty malt. Very acidic and tart which masks anything else the beer may have going for it. Nice attempt at something different but this just isn’t good.
