princesslala (37), North Carolina, USA Apr 13, 2008 This beer would make a great substitute for champagne for toasting at a special event, or just siping on in the summer time. It was a cloudy yellow color, with a fizzy, white soda head. Effervescent, peachy, and a bit vinegary it would make a great pairing for a summer salad or glazed chicken or salmon. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Apr 12, 2008 Was not impressed with this beer at all. Poured from a 12-oz bottle the color of lemonade with a white head. The smell was peachy, sugars and tart. Taste was very sour and of dry peach. The taste reminded me more of a wine cooler than beer. brigg (213), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Apr 7, 2008 (bottle) A disappearing, fizzy head and cloudy yellow body. Aroma is sweet, with peach, citrus, and moldy wheat. Also, reminiscent of a white wine, maybe a chardonnay. Flavor is very tart, and mildly sweet. The peach is noticeable from the middle of the tongue to the back, and the finish, but it is the smack of tartness on the front that I love. It still manages to be refreshing in the end with the aid of the peach and lemon. Light and fizzy on the tongue. Very drinkable. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow orange... kind of like the flesh of a peach. Has a bit of a fizzy white head, but that disappears quickly. The aroma is a grassy tart peach scent. It does remind me a lot of Pinot Grigio. The flavor is a very sour, slightly sweet peach-apricot flavor. It has a pretty spritzy texture with a sort of dry taste which reminds me of a peach Bellini made with something dry like a brut. The body is very light and refreshing. BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 1, 2008 Cloudy pale yellow with the slightest tint of gold. Minuscule spotty head.
Smells tart and tangy. Peach, apricot, green apple, sour white grapes. Pretty intense fruit, slightly sweet.
Not bad. The initial tart (almost sour) impression leads to developing fruitiness with a touch of sweetness. Tastes of tart apples, apricot and light peach.
Lightly tart, bit of an acidic punch, but not too sharp. Actually pretty creamy and smooth despite the apparent high carbonation. Very drinkable and refreshing. Surprising. mudstone133 (3), darien, Connecticut, USA does not count Mar 31, 2008 I’ve tried this numerous times hoping that it would be different from the first. The nose not so bad with almost a peach skin aroma. The carbonation level is okay and mouthfeel is not bad. What i can’t get over is the overwhelming flavor of rotten peaches. To me it is overwhelming rotten fruit and i can’t drink it. kappldav123 (1789), Markkleeberg, Germany Mar 30, 2008 Big thanks to jjpm74 for the bottle. Looks good, the beer in the glass is very normal. Foam disappears very fast. Sourish and dry aroma. Starts very dry, modest fruity. The finish is very sourish. Reminds me of gose - really not bad! mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA Mar 29, 2008 Dogfish Head Festina Peche is a hazy yellow ale with Peach sediment and a very attractive white head. The aroma is a very natural and refreshing peach. However, this is an uber sweet weisse with a flavor that is almost gritty.
