durhambeer (1187), Durham, USA Mar 15, 2008 Updated: Jun 15, 2008Didn’t love this when I tried it last summer, but like it more as I’ve gotten into sour beers. This has a pleasant sour taste, which may turn many drinkers off. Pours hazy golden with orange tint and a white head. Aroma is more orange peel and fresh lemon juice than peach, but peach is there, too. A little bit of sulphur on the nose, but not in a bad way. Very carbonated, contributing to a "pop rocks" moment during tasting. Sour yeasty peach and cava flavors and a dry finish. Almost has a gueuze-like quality in its sour, almost vinegary dry finish. The more I drink this beer, the more I really enjoy it. Highly underrated beer. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Mar 14, 2008 Bottle.. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, lively, fast rising carbonation, cloudy, and a pale yellow hue. The nose was sweet and peaches and not a lot at that. The flavor was sweet, sour, peaches, tart, and finishes dry. Tingly, dry mouthfeel and light in body. Too tart and sour for my liking and not one of their better beers IMMHO. Not one I want again. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Mar 10, 2008 July 2007 - Orange pour, little head or lacing, cloudy. Flavor of peach flavored dish soap. Nice wheaty base with a perfect fruityness so as not to be overdone but yet refreshing. Sour finish. Good beer. bma4573 (136), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA Mar 9, 2008 Pours a light cloudy golden color with a full head with plenty of carbonation and a sour aroma. Very light and refreshing and citrusy, with a tart after taste. mrant (330), New York, USA Mar 7, 2008 Smells of sour peach, some notes of wheat. Very carbonated, almost like champagne. Very sour peach flavor, like it smells. Would be very refreshing on a hot summer day. rajendra82 (698), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Mar 6, 2008 Very pale yellow, and cloudy appearance, with explosive and rapidly dissipating carbonation. Probably authentic looking, but not a look I care a whole lot for. The smell was pretty much nothing. I was expecting to get some peaches on the nose, but nada. The taste was quite a sour treat. The lemony acidity was up front and center. The fruit that was missing from the smell was much more evident in the taste. Not easy to make it out as peaches, but clearly quite a fruity beer. As light and airy as a Lambic in the mouth, and very refreshing. I am surprised that beers like this are associated with cold and dreary Berlin This would be more at home on a sultry July day in Georgia on the back porch. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Mar 4, 2008 Pours a strange whitish yellow color with a thin white head that disappears immediately. Smells lightly of peaches and wheat.. Strong citrusy fruit blast right away. Even a little sour.. Very spritzy feel and taste. Interesting to say the least. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 3, 2008 from the look and taste of this stuff I would swear it was champagne. has a tart wheaty smell. taste is very tart and crisp with peaches being the backbone instead of the centerpiece. tons of carbonation make it feel very alive in your mouth. interesting and different, but not good enough to become an everyday drinker.
